In typical scientology fashion, the WTH IC Los Angeles Org is offering "free" WTH booklets as part of trying to ingratiate themselves with this community. Of course, NOTHING is free in scientology, and this is a perfect opportunity to raise some more money! Though 200 booklets printed on their internal printing press would cost them a few dollars (just the cost of the paper itself) they are demanding that the full price of a $1 per booklet be "donated" so they can give these things away. They don't mention the fact that WTH will make a handsome profit on this - like 90 cents for … [Read more...]
Bob Duggan — Still Very Much the Scientologist
The latest edition of the L. Ron Hubbard Hall fundraising propaganda contains a two page spread on Bob Duggan. If you wade your way through the bullshit and spelling and grammar errors, you get to the most incredible statement anyone has ever made about this ridiculous hall. Comparing it to the Taj Mahal and Versailles Palace is the height of foolishness. This theater is planned as a small auditorium (if it ever gets built) -- there are probably 200 of this size around the US, almost every major college and certainly every major city has one. Even Clearwater itself has Ruth … [Read more...]
Some Funnies
This is a random collection of things sent in recently. There is little rhyme or reason to them. Hubbard Logic Wrap your brain around this. So, if there is anything you disagree with in scientology it is because you haven't properly recalled what you already knew... Roping in an Ideal Org What they are actually doing is roping in some suckers. Though at this point, I cannot imagine anyone participating in any event like this that isn't already intending to hand over some cash. The more important question. Why is the Valley OT Committee wasting time on Albuquerque … [Read more...]
The Next Great Milestone Achievement
This is a "milestone"? That they might at some point gather enough money to buy a building for this tiny, perpetually failing "org"? Scientology has hype-inflation. Their hype keeps growing less and less believable so they have to keep ratcheting up the hype... It's like rolling in wheelbarrows full of cash to buy a loaf of bread during hyperinflation. They roll in wheelbarrows of over-the-top descriptions for the most mundane of events. They're going to have some hula dancing and a "surprise" -- they have two "guest speakers" along with the "Hawaii Fundraising Project In-Charge." … [Read more...]
Amazing Seminar! Blow Away!!!!
OK, I must have seen literally a thousand of these "come to this event, it will be incredible/amazing/spectacular/blow away" etc etc with endless exclamation points. They are the same people over and over talking about the same thing. They promise incredible information which is just one of these "FSMs" (who earn a commission on everything that is paid for as a result) rehashing some old Hubbard quotes as if they are a new revelation. And then they really get down to business with some good old Big League Sales and hard sell money-grubbing. What is particularly remarkable … [Read more...]
Lords of Ideal
These people are losing their shit. They come up with the stupidest crap to make everything a "game". Funny how it's not a "game" when it comes to handing over cash, and very much not a game when they have maxed out your credit cards, you’ve gotten a second mortgage and now you have declared bankruptcy after giving in to their very unfunny demands. Think about this. At this point, every org in WUS except Albuquerque and Hawaii are "ideal." They pretty much have an "ideal Continent" -- they HAVE an "ideal" California, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado and Arizona. This is what they say i … [Read more...]
First 5,000 OT VIII’s
OK, so they have not been able to get 10,000 onto or through Solo NOTs in 40 years, so they have come up with a new plan. Half as many through OT VIII. The 10,000 is derived from some obscure Hubbard statement about 10,000 people being able to control the destiny of earth. Here is how Clive Rabey put it back in 2014: ORIGIN OF THE 10,000 TARGETThis campaign was primarily based on the following LRH quote:"At any one time on Earth there were not more than about 10,000 people of a caliber that was sufficient to do a little steering or leading. There's only about 10,000 of them, really." - … [Read more...]
Going Ideal?
Apparently he is already an "Ideal Org Staff", though Port Elizabeth, after 20 YEARS of trying, is not close to even purchasing a building in order to be "ideal." Once again, it is clear that this has simply become a catch-phrase in scientology. And these poor people say it as if it means something. "Going ideal" is as empty a concept as "Clearing the Planet." It means absolutely nothing. How do we know? After 20 years, there is a long list of "ideal" orgs and nothing has changed in the world. During this time, scientology has shrunk. It is a fraction of the size it was in the 80's. … [Read more...]
Desperation in Atlanta
This is from commenter Doug Sprinkle. It is amazing how desperate these orgs are to get hold of anyone who has ever had anything to do with them. I asked him out of curiosity about his time at DC Org and he sent this write up. It is SO typical and so clearly PRECISELY what happened that I thought it worth posting her for posterity's sake. This IS how people are treated in scientology orgs. They're like cattle, herded in to be milked for all they've got and the staff believe they have every right to neglect/mistreat/abuse people who are PAYING THEM for service. It's such an upside down world in … [Read more...]
Is Scientology an Investment?
Old Wil Seabrook is at it again. These STAND flunkies are entirely predictable. Anything that is a touchy subject for scientology (in this case, their merciless money-grubbing) is taken up and presented as if it's a GOOD thing. Let's just dissect a few of Wil's statements. One thing that people ask me is why Scientologists make donations for their services. I think there’s an idea that help, especially of a religious nature, should be free. But once you start to examine that concept, it’s easy to see that nothing in life is ever actually free and that resources are required to do absol … [Read more...]
