The idiocy continues... The "Wild West" is going to become the "All Ideal Wild West" (as long as you hand over enough money). Not only that -- out of the entire western half of the US (and Flag) they have scraped together 338 "confirms" for this monumental event. The vast majority of those "confirms" are people who say they confirm just so they don't get 5 or more calls a day. The number who will actually show up for this latest fundraiser is likely about 10% of that. As a special treat -- here is the video she is touting. You can click on it yourself and see how many views and … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Not a lot of funnies this week, but there are some good ones... Does this entice you? I don't know what it is, but the look on her face scares me. Just a creepy shot. All your questions? How about "these volcanoes didn't exist 75 million years ago?" or "how do you pack a thetan in frozen glycol when it has no physical presence?" or "If all my questions are answered, why do I need to bother with OT V or VII or VIII?" How to get along with others... Unless, of course, they are SP's. Then there is nothing you can do. And this problem is … [Read more...]
Joburg Org Getting ‘Em Young
Joburg Org is working overtime to get those old thetans in young bodies back onto the Bridge. Quite possibly these are the only public on service in the org.... There are after all only two students' graphs on the wall. When these courses are delivered in schools or businesses, they are denominated as "secular"... They are exactly the same thing in a scientology org (in this case Jobur) as they are in a Delphi school or a WISE Consulting business. Here is a screenshot from the ABLE website promoting exactly the same book for "secular" use: … [Read more...]
Still Trying to Milk The Pandemic
It appears this is the only thing they have going on inside the bubble. Trying to hype people about what they did last year spraying Defcon 7 (or whatever it was) in some police stations in South Africa. They are giving themselves a pat on the back for "protecting our churches, our staff and our communities." That is a questionable claim. But, they did collect millions of dollars on the basis of needing money to pay their "staff" though it's unlikely any of it actually went to the staff (who are denominated as "volunteers" to avoid labor laws and thus do not in fact get "wages"). But … [Read more...]
Lamer and Lamer
Why do they even put this stuff out? This is so weak it is almost like a parody. Imagine The Onion doing a satire promoting the OT Committee. This is what they might come up with. Why is it so good to join the OT Committee? Because no matter what you are able to do or are interested in doing you can fit right in.... Now isn't that the definition of OT? And the image of what an ideal OT Committee member looks like? It's hard to be sure this isn't a promotional piece for the knitting circle at a retirement community? Or the old ad "I've fallen and I can't get up." And those glasses... … [Read more...]
Another Ideal Org Failing Miserably
The latest news from another "ideal org" -- this time in Auckland. This is the ONLY scientology outpost in the entire country and is one of the oldest scientology organizations on earth. What passes for "accomplishments" in these orgs is pretty remarkable. Word on the street is that not only are the "ideal" orgs not paying their staff, they are also not able to pay their bills. Utilities. Copy machine. Paper supplies. Here we see what this ideal org is so pumped about. They got one guy to complete a "lecture course" that consists of basic lectures on Dianetics. There isn't much of … [Read more...]
The “New” OEC — The Latest Wrong Reason Orgs Aren’t Expanding
Miscavige is finally rolling out the "new" OEC. This is the next "big thing" that is now going to guarantee his "ideal orgs" actually expand. It will be announced with great fanfare that Miscavige has "discovered" a new "why" for orgs not making it to St Hill Size. The "new" OEC will be presented by him as his brilliant solution. Just like the "ideal orgs" was a "solution" to the same problem almost 20 years ago "because they could not perform all the functions of an org" (supposedly because they didn't have enough room) and like an auditing session couldn't be delivered without an auditing … [Read more...]
Germany on Scientology
i Germany has just released its annual "Constitution protection report" for 2020. The last section of the report concerns scientology. One of our readers helped us with a translation: "Scientology Organization" (SO) The "Scientology Organization" (SO) intends to establish a worldwide "Scientology Society". The number of members in Germany in 2020, as in 2019, was around 3,500 people. In the year under review, SO online activity increased again as the otherwise usual information stands in cities throughout Germany could not be operated due to the corona pandemic. The SO … [Read more...]
The Incestuous World of Scientology Staff
The shrinking world of scientology.... These days, about the only hope they have of getting new people to join staff or the Sea Org is if they are the children of scientologist parents. Rarely are the "successes" about staff from anyone else, unless it is an old person who says they’ve been on staff for 40 years and are still hoping to make it to Clear. We have had a number of people who were not scientologists recruited for "ideal orgs" with the promise of a job, pay and accommodations that have ended up being helped by the Aftermath Foundation. Typically they have not e … [Read more...]
The Big Question
Tony posted this video on his blog on Wednesday: There are a couple of things I wanted to note about it. First, Lyle talks about becoming the HAS Chicago back in 1974. I went on Mission to Chicago in January 1976 based on an evaluation by Hubbard "EUS Ups and Downs" and extracted two people from the tiny org to be sent to Flag for executive training. Lyle was one of them. She says she was staff member #9 in Chicago (that tells you how small the place was in 1974 -- there were probably a dozen staff there when I arrived) and she was the second ED (as I recall, the ED was Dave … [Read more...]
