Our Israeli Special Correspondent sent in this report. In light of events in Joburg, it seemed particularly appropriate to hear how things are going in Haifa. It’s been a little over a year since Dror Center of Haifa, Israel left the Church of Scientology. Their departure in July 2012 made big news and was reported by Marty Rathbun and here. DrorCenter left ‘en masse’ following the ‘declare’ of Tami and Dani Lemberger, the founders of DrorCenter. Their story was covered in the media, by Tony Ortega and by the leading Israeli newspaper, Haaretz. I visited the Dror Center and was greeted b … [Read more...]
The Corbetts Ideal Org Rape
I know many readers here have taken to following the new "African Scientologists Getting Back In Comm" blog. There is a post there today that everyone should read. "Here is their story: Ernest and Gaye Corbett" is perhaps the most damning expose of what is so wrong with the "Ideal Org Program" that has yet to see the light of day. And it comes from two people who were, for many years, without question THE single biggest supporters of the church and the Ideal Org Program in South Africa. The lies and strong arm tactics employed against them are described in some detail. THIS is supposed to … [Read more...]
Miscavige, the Latam Strategy and Opinion Leaders
SadStateofAffairs made a comment about the Jobur Jackboots that was a blast from the past when he mentioned the "Latam Strategy." The comment was right on. The Jobur Command Team is exactly following the Latam Strategy. For most of you, this is meaningless, so I will provide a little background that is necessarily abbreviated. The topic is instructive to the current scene. In the early 80's there was considerable concern by LRH (who was in seclusion) that he and management had lost control of Scientology. There is a LOT of LRH traffic about the "Mission Holder Mutiny" and the Guardian's … [Read more...]
The Commandos Have Landed in Jobur
Miscavige has sent the storm troopers to lower the boom in South Africa. The big question is whether the boom is going to crash right through the hull and sink his ship of fools down there. The newest post on the African Scientologists Getting Back in Comm blog is reproduced in full below. Long term CO Africa (Ken Kreiger) and CO CMO Africa (Alex Faust) are now cleaning dumpsters with toothbrushes in Clearwater and the new "Command Team" has taken over. It is going to be very interesting to see what happens over the next month as there are LOT more disaffected South Africans than the 18 … [Read more...]
Jim Fonda: Non Corporate Brand Real Scientology Is Available
My name is Jim Fonda. I recently started auditing Solo NOTs, am having great wins, and wanted to acknowledge some of the people who helped make this happen. I certainly want others to have the same wins that I am having, so part of my purpose in writing this is to show others that it is possible to get standard tech and to get on with the next step of their bridge. I got into Scientology in spring of 1976 at Stevens Creek Mission. I learned about Scientology from my girlfriend (later wife), Mary-Ann Acosta (later Mary-Ann Fonda). She had been on the communications course in 1974, but quickly … [Read more...]
The Lions Roar in South Africa
You have heard rumblings over the last year of dissent in the ranks of the faithful in South Africa. A number of prominent figures have become fed up with the abuses and constant begging for money. Meanwhile the orgs are clearly going nowhere. We have had reports from correspondents in South Africa about the dismal state of Joburg Org and then the flop that was Pretoria "Ideal Org" and the empty Kyalami Castle "the home of the new AO" and much more. There are plenty of commenters on this and other blogs from South Africa, some of whom are known and some remain pseudonymous to protect their … [Read more...]
Dave Soroka Is Not In Doubt
To answer a question that many had -- who is that unidentified man in this photo with Nora? Doubt: The Church of Scientology vs the Independents This isn’t my entire Doubt write-up. This is just my announcement to both sides, having done the other steps and arrived at a decision. Most of my friends know I’m a Scientologist. I’m an old-time Scientologist. There’s people who say Scientology doesn’t work, but they just haven’t thought it through. It’s a religion. If someone says it works for them, then you pretty much have to admit it works: it works for them. Apparently, that’s the nature of r … [Read more...]
Terry Brawley — Life Is Good
Another in the series of "Life Is Good." I have known Terry since I worked with him in OSA in the 80's and 90's. Terry is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to call friend. He is a talented stained glass artist, photographer and also runs guided kayak tours out of Venice, Florida. It makes me very happy to see him doing so well. Mike My history with Dianetics goes back to 1951 in Wichita. I started reading Scn. books in late 1968 in the Ozarks, and moved to Florida to join staff in early 1969. I did the usual...volunteered, did basic courses, and when old enough, joined … [Read more...]
Mike Wreggitt Speaks
Following is a posting sent in to me by Mike Wreggitt. It falls into the category of some of the earlier postings I called "Life Is Good." Things have been a bit frantic with "hard news", so this is a nice change of pace. Hey, I wanted to introduce myself to the independent Scientology community. My name is Mike Wreggitt. I’ve made a few posts a year or so ago on Marty’s blog, under my own name, but other than that I haven’t been too vocal. Also, I’m #140 on the Indie 500 list. What I have been doing is I’ve been on course, at The Courseroom in Georgia, on my Solo 1, under the course supervi … [Read more...]
What Scientology Could Be
One of our Special Correspondents sent this in and I felt it worthy of a separate post. I am interested in your comments. I don't agree with some of the sentiments expressed here but I believe it is food for thought and perhaps from the responses we might gain some insight into what is considered valuable, important or unwanted. Fire away! Mike A Vision of What Scientology Could Be... A vital part of evaluating any situation, good or bad, is to envision the Ideal Scene for that activity. How this is done is laid out in detail in Data Series 12, HCO PL 5 July 1979, HOW TO FIND AND … [Read more...]
