Michael D splains the expasion which is the biggest in history (and yes, he spells it wrong twice in the opening para). He may be an IAS Freedom Medal Winner but it does not mean he can spell (he probably did the Student Hat too -- that apparently was no help either). Of course, it's ALWAYS the biggest in history... But let me ask you something Michael. What measure of expasion are you using? Certainly not the number of new orgs and missions opened. There were none. Certainly not the number of OT VIII's made. Nor the number of new people into scientology. Or courses … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Well, that's odd... Shane Brockdorff thinks he was sent to AOSHANZO by LRH. Strange thing, I was WDC Sea Org at that time and put together the "Command Team" with Greg Wilhere and others and sent them to set up the first new AO since AOLA. LRH had nothing to do with it. A closed door announcement? They don't want anyone to know what they are announcing? Find a Ruin Everytime It's easy. Just tell people they are depressed, uncertain, unhappy, irresponsible, unrealistically happy, gleeful etc etc until they agree with something. Works everytime. Or every … [Read more...]
Desperate Times Call For…
My oh my -- trying to smear lipstick on the IAS pig. Clearly, the number of new members is plummeting. So, as with all things scientology, the answer is money. In this case, cut the cost of the membership to try to get more. But if the cost of admission of $500 is too high -- these people are NOT going to be able to be scientologists. You cannot buy anything of significance in scientology for $500. So, they just want NUMBERS and they clearly believe that if they charge less they are going to get more membership sign ups and annual renewals. But they are ignoring the most obvious … [Read more...]
Disaster Capitalism Revisited
It is as predictable as night following day. A disaster, man-made or natural, hits the media and scientology hits the "give us your money now" button. I have pointed it out many times in the past -- this is EXACTLY what the IAS says they use people's donations for. The IAS proudly proclaims it is they who see that Volunteer Ministers ("the largest private relief force on earth") are on the scene "of every major disaster no matter where it occurs on earth" to bring the help that ONLY scientologists can (as Tom Cruise famously said -- ONLY a scientologist can help people injured in a car … [Read more...]
Scientology: Champions of Hypocrisy
Over the past couple of weeks we have watched Miscavige go to war with Winter the dolphin. What has been amazing is the breathtaking hypocrisy they have put on display for all the world to witness. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA), home to Winter of the Dolphin Tale movies, is a highly regarded, completely transparent non-profit organization that does wonderful work rescuing marine wildlife (like Winter), but also supports children and other programs. The CMA is the single biggest draw for tourists to Clearwater outside of "the beach." Miscavige, as is his style, threw a hissy fit … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
After a 6 week (?) hiatus, Thursday Funnies are back. Obviously, during this time a LOT of material poured in. I honestly have not been able to get through it all. There was a ton of pretty amusing "holiday fare", but that is dated now. I have selected some of what I think is the best stuff from the last few weeks. Enjoy. Bad Hair Day She certainly didn't join because of their photo-shopping prowess. Yowza. Not really funny A theme for these "funnies" might be exploitation of children. This is an 8 or 9 year old Sea Org member and this is made "normal" by L. Ron … [Read more...]
The IAS Hard at Work
People inside the scientology bubble really believe this stuff. How many absurdities do there have to be before they notice? First, if the IAS is truly "every moment of every day" keeping the "light burning bright" -- "everywhere" with their massive Volunteer Minister force -- you would expect they might have something to brag about that happened this year.... The tornadoes in Texas were in 2015. Second, as ALWAYS there are NO SPECIFICS on what was done, how much money was spent on the "relief efforts" or how many people were even involved. From the picture it looks like they … [Read more...]
Ideal Org Lies
This latest piece from Porn Valley ideal building reminded me what a horrendous self-serving scam this is. You will note the "ideal Valley" is missing a few things -- like about 100 staff (in order to have one for each room) and of course their filing is decades out of date. So, why is there so much effort (extracting of funds) put into these ideal nothings? The answer is simple: Miscavige is frantically trying to keep the veneer of expansion from peeling off the moldy walls of his shrinking kingdom. He uses these "ideal orgs" to convince his sheeple (and tries to persuade the outside … [Read more...]
The Colombian Miracle
Scientology has produced a miracle in Colombia! The nation has been overcome by the golden glow and concentric circles of the S and Double Triangle and it's now spreading throughout the world. So much for the hype. Truly one of the most insidious things about scientology is the outrageously false claims they make about their accomplishments in far off lands. Funny how the miracles never seem to happen in Los Angeles or New York or Clearwater... When the peace treaty was recently announced with FARC a few people emailed me wondering how long it would be before scientology claimed … [Read more...]
IAS Fraud – What Else is New?
If the number below is anywhere near close to true, and they spent just half of it on hurricane relief in Haiti they would have hours of videos and press releases showing the schools they built, homes they constructed... But of course, there is no such thing. The best they might come up with is a video of a few people in yellow T-shirts doing touch assists. $5 million would go a long way towards relieving pain and suffering in many parts of the world. It doesn't. At best it will be used to buy new buildings and perhaps fly a video team somewhere to stage some shots to encourage … [Read more...]
