Try as they might, scientology is incapable of accomplishing any positive results on the internet. Miscavige shows "stats" at his events like "people look up scientology every 1.63 seconds" or "we have 627Xed the reach for our programs on the internet" or other completely meaningless statements. All the while they continue to raise money for the "KCET studios" because this facility will allow scientology to "take over the internet." Miscavige has spent a LOT of money to create a video driven website at scientology.org. And probably more money paying than that to click farms in India and … [Read more...]
Scientology Online
They are really pumping this one up. It would normally be in with the rest of the Thursday Funnies, but it is remarkable for a few reasons. First, Tom Burton rates top billing over D/COB for Lookalikes, Gavin Potter. Yet GP is an "International Keynote Speaker" and "Sea Org Officer." Those titles just aren't what they used to be. Second, why isn't Tom Burton imparting his brilliance ("vital LRH tech"?) to help all these struggling orgs that are going nowhere (starting with the Moneywinds)? If this guy is so brilliant why isn't he single handedly changing the course of … [Read more...]
Scientology Expansion? Here Is The Proof
You hear David "Let Him Die" Miscavige prattle on in his endless shermanspeak about how popular scientology is and the "massive demand from the public for the answers only we can provide." Much ado has been made by him about the amazing statistics of "hits" on the internet and "visitors" to the the scientology.org site, "3.1428 people every 1.7 seconds think about clicking on one of our fair and balanced videos" blah blah blah.... But of course, there is no evidence to support any of his bold assertions, and everyone not in his thrall laughs, shakes their head and goes on with life … [Read more...]
Scientology Loves The Internet — But For “Wogs” Only
Here is a recent item that came in from one of our correspondents. What is interesting is the double standard it presents without any apparent irony. It is promoting the wonders of the internet and spewing out a bunch of meaningless statistics -- for all the massive advertising and hundreds of linked sites and millions spent to make their internet presence so "powerful" my blog -- which has NO budget, no team working on it and no massive advertising is consistently ranked HIGHER than Scientology.org by Alexa! But set aside the stat mumbo jumbo and the feeble "successes" (this is seriously … [Read more...]
