For some reason the links were broken to the Fair Game podcast episodes, so I have reloaded them so all episodes are available here … [Read more...]
Stories About Ron — the Back Story
A few days ago I did a posting about the fact that Wick Allcock was telling stories about Hubbard in Melbourne: Personal Stories About Ron -- Sort Of When I did the post, I was reminded by my old friend Karen De La Carriere about an earlier post at Tony Ortega's blog written by Rod Keller Sailing with L. Ron Hubbard In that post, Rod recounted some of the history of Wick, prompted by another promotional piece where he was riffing on Ron in Tampa. I wonder what he said about the "research" for NED for OT's? That Hubbard suffered another heart attack and David Mayo was … [Read more...]
Scientology Fair Game Podcast All Episodes
There is no new podcast this week due to the Labor Day holiday. I thought it worth listing all the diverse list of podcast guests and topics we have done so far. There are more to come. If there are any episodes you have missed, you can find them here with links and give them a listen. It's been quite a ride. It continues. We appreciate all the support of our faithful listeners and those who have sent in questions for the popular "Listener Question" episodes. You can also find all the episodes and the supporting documents for each at fairgamepodcast.com which also includes a … [Read more...]
Episode 8: Fair Gaming Scientology President’s ex-Wife
This week Leah and I interview Karen De la Carriere, the former wife of scientology's disappeared President, Heber Jentzsch. Karen was the highest level scientology "technical person" -- a Class XII Case Supervisor. There have been less than 50 Class XII C/Ses in the history of scientology. Perhaps no more than 10 who trained directly under L. Ron Hubbard like Karen. Karen and Heber had a child together, Alexander, who was born into the Sea Org. He was raised with my children. Karen is one of the most harrowing stories of ongoing Fair Game. Of … [Read more...]
Heber Jentzsch’s Niece Welfare Check on Her Uncle
The new episode of Scientology: Fair Game Podcast is now available here. We interview one of Heber Jentzsch's nieces, Tammy Clark. Tammy reached out to me and Leah as she was concerned about Heber. Many members of the rather large family had not heard from him and she was so concerned she thought it necessary to fly from Utah to try to see him as a representative of the family. But she was fearful of scientology and asked that we help her. Leah and I were more than happy to provide her support and a camera crew from The Aftermath accompanied us. Unfortunately, this is one of the shows … [Read more...]
Scientology’s White Savior Complex
Karen De La Carriere alerted me to this video that was posted on YouTube on 18 May by SkepticShe. I was not familiar with Lauren before seeing this. Obviously she has done previous videos of interest that I will catch up with. Her irreverent honesty reminds me of one of my favorites -- Carrie Poppy of Oh No! Ross and Carrie fame -- though Lauren is much snarkier. Anyone who reads this blog knows I have a snarky streak and I enjoy her mastery of the snarky burn. Lauren analyzes the "Decade in Review" International Scientology News that is a rehash of the "big" New Years event. Her take … [Read more...]
Our 10th Anniversary
The first blog post on mikerindersblog.org was on 5 November 2009. It's been 10 years but it sure doesn't seem that long! It's been a lot of fun along the way. I have met many wonderful people here (and quite a number subsequently IRL which has been especially gratifying). Hopefully I have opened a window to discovering the truth about scientology for many. This blog would not have been possible without the support of many who have helped. While it is a labor of love (or perhaps passion) it IS labor and first my thanks to the many contributors who have provided content and … [Read more...]
The Inhumanity of Scientology
Sadly, too many people pass away without the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved ones. Those who die in tragic accidents or without warning. Others in other cities or countries that make it logistically impossible for a final face-to-face meeting. Some are estranged for whatever reason and don’t reach out to them, even when they often regret it as they take their final breaths and it has become too late. Then there are those who have had their familial relationships sundered by their beliefs -- that it will be spiritually harmful to associate with “non-believers” or those who have bee … [Read more...]
