I have been nosing around the STAND League site of late, just to document what they are doing and have a record of it before it all disappears in a puff of smoke when that becomes necessary for whatever reason. I came across an article from a couple of months ago, newly tweeted out, smearing my friend of many years, Mariette Lindstein. I have written about Mariette before and her enormous success as an author of fictional novels that are drawn from her experience in scientology, including working at the Gold Base in Religious Technology Center and other very senior executive … [Read more...]
The Cult on Fog Island
Former RTC executive Mariette Lindstein has been forging an astonishingly successful career as a writer since leaving the Sea Org. She and her husband, Dan Koon, are long time friends. I originally brought Mariette to the International Base to become WDC Scientology (over all Class 5 orgs). She has forgiven me for this. Dan and I shared a lot of time compiling the What Is Scientology? book and various other things and back when life was not completely insane at Gold we would sneak a game of golf during CSP time on Sunday mornings on the otherwise virtually unused Golden Era golf … [Read more...]
Mariette Lindstein’s Prize Winning Crime Novel Based on David Miscavige

She became involved in Scientology after graduating the Swedish equivalent of high school around 1978. Soon, she was working at the Malmö Org where she and a couple other Div 6 p … [Read more...]
Swedish Cult Fiction
While scientology is unravelling in the face of Hurricane Leah here in the US, a different storm is raining on scientology's tiny parade in Sweden. My old friend, Mariette Lindstein has written a book. And it is causing quite a stir. Mariette worked at the Int Base for many years (in fact, I brought her and her husband to the Int base to man WDC posts). She was then five years in RTC under Miscavige, and yes, she was another prisoner of the Hole -- even though according to its Founder David Miscavige, no such place has ever existed. Mariette lives in Sweden … [Read more...]
