This seems a very appropriate post to reprint in light of the recent article Scientology Shriveling. Media Take Note: They Lie To You. This was originally published on 27 March 2013. I would assume that if anyone wants to take the time, they will find that some of the missions the church is given credit for in this article from 2013 no longer exist today (though I suspect the scientology.org website is about as fast to remove closed missions from their list as they are to remove declared OT VII's from the list of "10,000 on Solo Nots Sometime Never." Again, it … [Read more...]
Scientology Calgary Expansion: Flat Out And Vertical
Another in the ongoing series exploring the "explosive international growth" of scientology and its "straight up and vertical expansion," according to the gospel of David Miscavige. A Special Correspondent happened to be in Calgary recently and sent in this report. Although not listed on the official church website, Scientology maintains a Mission in Calgary Canada. According to http://scientologycalgary.org/ the "Church of Scientology Mission of Calgary" offers: "a broad range of services from life improvement courses, such as how to be more effective at work, how to know who you c … [Read more...]
Another One Bites The Dust
In the era of massive, straight up and vertical, 47X expansion in the wake of GAGII one could be forgiven for assuming that this would be most evident in the LA area -- "home to the largest population of scientologists on earth" according to the infallible pronouncements of Dear Leader. One might also assume that the boom is happening at the bottom of the Bridge with the massive international dissemination campaigns "sponsored by the IAS" and the enormous international dissemination center right there in LA, alongside the largest digital printing plant on earth at Bridge Publications and … [Read more...]
Scientology’s Irish Eyes Aren’t Smiling
Below is an article from the Irish Times yesterday reporting on the accounts statement filed for the Mission of Dublin. Of course, it is about 2 years overdue, but that really only tells us that it must be FAR worse by now. Their reported income is less than half the previous year, so it's no doubt continued to plummet since. There is no reason to believe otherwise. The photo above is what the Mission looks like currently. Remember this is the ONLY Dianetics and Scientology "organization" in Ireland. The last 30 years of unprecedented expansion under Mr. Miscavige seems to have missed … [Read more...]
The FIRST GAG II Class IV Field Auditor
Big news. The FIRST auditor in the field has completed the GAG II Class 4 training. Yes, these SUPER FAST EVERY SINGLE PERSON COMPLETES IN CHECKSHEET TIME COURSES have finally produced a Class IV auditor after only 8 MONTHS! At two weeks per Academy Level, somehow the numbers are just not making sense. Funny how when they have NO completions they talk about "everyone is winning and zooming through faster than ever, ALL on checksheet time." Then months later when someone FINALLY completes, there is no mention of how fast the training now is? Wonder why? There is … [Read more...]
How Many Scientology Missions Are There?
We have some interesting information from the Pubs Sector about Mission booksales, and by extrapolation about the Mission network itself. More substantiation of the non-existent "massive international boom." Sorry about the formatting, they sent this out as a password encoded document and I could not figure out how to get it copied over in its original format, so this is a just the text. There are two columns, all the way down the left is "Materials Sales" (Gross Booksales in dollars) and the right column is "Raw booksales." Many missions appear here more than once, someone with more … [Read more...]
Sunland Mission Stats — RIP
Here are some leaked stats -- sent in by Hushmail of course. This is one of the few remaining Southern California missions. Scientology.org lists 9 in the LA area -- probably they don't all exist, some even state they are only open three days a week from 5:30 to 9. This with 4 Ideal Orgs (including "the model") each "generating massive field activities across all sectors." (We don't count Valley as they are not ideal and therefore can't do anything) Evidence enough of the failure of this "why." You can see from the stats that the brilliant innovations of GAG II have not resulted in any in … [Read more...]
Scientology in Northern Ireland
Following the recent post about Dublin and Scientology's fictitious activites there, here is more news about the imaginary activities of Scientology in Ireland, this time from across the border. One of our eagle-eyed readers sent me a note about the "Mission" in Belfast. They report that the Mission has been "closed for ages" even though it still appears on the official Scientology website. No doubt this is one of the Missions they count in the 11,000 total orgs, missions and groups. And no doubt Northern Ireland is one of the countries they count in the "186 around the world." It's h … [Read more...]
Scientology in the Bay Area — Boom or Bust?
Last week we showed you the "test center" for Mountain View Org with a "For Lease" sign on it and reported about the two vacant building in an industrial park that have sat idle for 5 years now. A few miles up the 101 is another "Ideal Org", San Francisco. It is one of the original 5 orgs that launched Miscavige's program a DECADE AGO (Tampa, Buffalo, Joburg, NY and SFO). But even before the Ideal Org hype came the Ideal Mission hype for the "celebrity" Mission of SOMA ("South of Market") -- more on the other "celebrity" missions in Wichita, Memphis and Santa Monica in another post. Izhar … [Read more...]
