There are a LOT of contradictions in scientology. Many of them in the words of Hubbard, usually in an effort to explain why some of his "tech" didn't produce results. But there are a lot of other contradictions that stem from efforts to either make money, or create "good PR." There are plenty of examples, for example, scientology says they are not homophobic, but subscribe to the writings of Hubbard that says homosexuals are 1.1 and all the evil that flows from that. But here we have something that came across my inbox purely coincidentally. A promotional item from Narconon laying out … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
One of these 3 didn't get the message Arms folded is the only way to go. All of them missed the memo about not smiling. Narconon not flourishing They are disappearing from the face of the earth.... We finally made 2 Clears We have to tell the world with a special promotional item because it's such a rare thing... Like really rare... So we made ANOTHER poster for the same person. The St Lucia Sickle Cell Association hasn't done their homework... Or they are just really hard up for a place to show a … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
An "Extravagaza" On Wednesday night. Should be a big draw. Maybe they can get the Palestinian community to show up in support... Damning with Faint Praise This worth a promo piece? They will feed you... If you just agree to sit through this stuff. It's like one of those Time Share offers or "your cemetery plot awaits, come for a free dinner at Rudy Tuesday's to find out how to secure it." What ideal org alliance? I thought California was done? And does this poster make ANY sense? You could be Olivia Newton-John? Why? How would that … [Read more...]
Front Groups — Narconon Lies
This is a screen shot of a recent discussion with Narconon on their website. The person asks: "I've heard your group is part Scientology, is this true?" The answer: "There is no Scientology related. "We are a non secular program" The first sentence is simply a lie. They are ABSOLUTELY "Scientology related"... The second sentence is either a typo or a terrible misunderstanding of the word "secular" -- I am sure they meant to say they ARE secular. Because if they deny their scientology connection, they are certainly not going agree that they are affiliated with … [Read more...]
The IAS Keeps on Lying
The IAS are renowned for their BS, but this one is a doozie. They "approved a grant" but they didn't spend it because they don't have any photos of anyone on the scene. Just a generic shot from the media of a flooded location. So, to give them the benefit of the doubt, I checked out their Twitter feed. A bunch of shots of the same 7 people, literally one after the other. This is the "team" for the displaced 500,000 people: For the largest private relief force on earth, 10 likes on their Twitter feed is a bit slim. Obviously they have not allocated funds to clickfarms for the VM … [Read more...]
IAS Games — Happy Birthday Ron
I have often noted that L. Ron Hubbard knew nothing about the formation of the IAS. He did not as it was a scheme to avoid bringing money into the US and therefore outside the purview of the IRS. The IAS morphed into something completely different over the first few years of its existence, especially after the Commodore shuffled off his mortal coil to continue his OT research in parts unknown. While it is in direct contradiction to much of his policy, I suspect he would have enjoyed how much money it raked in and gotten behind it. But he didn't and we will never know for sure. But how … [Read more...]
More Reefer Madness
Following yesterday's post by Terra Cognita (Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard and Reefer Madness), I thought some words direct from the horse's mouth might be of interest. It was published in Dianetics The Modern Science of Mental Health in 1950 and remains the word of God (Hubbard) to this day. The chronic alcoholic is physically and mentally ill. Dianetics can clear him or even merely release him without too much trouble for alcohol is apparently not physiological in its addictive effect. With the whole range of chemistry to choose stimulants and depressants from, why the government chooses a … [Read more...]
Getting People onto The Bridge Through Narconon
Tonight at 8pm there is a special episode of The Aftermath touching upon the subject of scientology's front groups. Of course, the most well-know of them is Narconon, which is why it was so ironic that I was sent this a couple of days ago. Scientology says the "social betterment" organizations are NOT recruitment arms for scientology. Look at the first paragraph of this letter. Bobby Wiggins seems to have retired from his Narconon job and now is making commissions from persuading people to give money to the IAS. The irony of this is when he WAS in Narconon he had to scrape and … [Read more...]
Scientology Lies — New Years’ Edition
Finally had a few minutes to peruse the latest International Scientology News recounting the epic, milestone New Years event. As usual, it is filled with hype, smoke, mirrors and lies. Just a few of the most glaring: This page is the "overview" of the magnificent accomplishments of 2016: 37 million "walked through our doors"? That is a ridiculous number. But let's take it at face value. Scientology claims "more than" 10,000 scientology "orgs, missions and associated groups" -- this means 3700 people each per YEAR. Or 10 per day. An average of 10 people per day darken … [Read more...]
Where is the IAS??
Narconon Louisiana went under. Literally. Drowned in the recent flooding. They started a Go Fund Me page to try and collect money to clean the place up and get operating again. They claim to need $75,000 (and in 13 days managed $11,520). $75,000 is pocket change for the IAS. The IAS repeatedly claims they support Narconon and take credit for all sorts of Narconon "accomplishments" (like reduced the rate of drug addiction 175% in Burkina Faso or whatever...). They say they support people in times of natural disaster -- if you listen to them they pretty much single-handedly put … [Read more...]
