The desperation is oozing out of the bubble as scientology becomes more frantic trying to salvage their dismal PR in the eyes of the world. Because they don't actually DO anything good that is newsworthy, they resort to sending out paid press releases to try to get some coverage. Within the bubble, they blame the lack of media coverage on the "Chaos Merchants" run by SPs -- of course they are not going to cover the good works of scientology! They are blind to two obvious contradictions -- you can find plenty of stories by those same chaos merchants about the Red Cross or Salvation Army or … [Read more...]
“Big News” — Scientology-style
The latest big news from the rapidly expanding global force that is scientology. They found some people (2?) in Vienna who disinfected a local Hindu temple. This qualifies as "news" and is even worthy of press release from "Church of Scientology International." Truly an indicator of just how small and insignificant scientology has become. Though they claim "10 million" scientologists (sometimes more, though now often just "millions") there is absolutely nothing to substantiate anything close to this. Every census that is taken, the numbers are less than the people who … [Read more...]
The Virtual IAS Event
This year's IAS event is going to be "virtual." It's a fundraising catastrophe for scientology as this is their biggest single event for raking in cash. Undaunted, they put out a "press release" on a paid news service. Of course it gets no pickup in the media at all, as it contains no news. But you can find it online. Below is the full release, 100% hype and bs. The back-patting "quotes" are from themselves. And their big accomplishment is apparently that some agency in Spain includes the IAS event as a scientology holiday in their "educational calendar." Wow, that is an astonishing … [Read more...]
Why Would Anyone Want To?
Why would anyone in their right mind want to enter a scientology propaganda center, let alone during a pandemic? This "Scientology Information Center" is in the lobby of the old Clearwater Bank building. It is the ONLY scientology "church" building you can walk into off the street in Clearwater. You cannot enter the Ft Harrison hotel, the Super Power building, the Sandcastle, Oak Cove, Osceola, West Coast, old Lee Arnold building, Coachman or any of the other buildings scientology owns in Clearwater, despite their claim of being "open" to the community. The ONLY building you are allowed … [Read more...]
