Scientology is often criticized by those who claim it practices medicine without a license. They protest this heavily, claiming they do NOT treat or cure illnesses. Of course, in the scientology world, mental illness is NOT an illness. It is just a bunch of false labels used to persuade people to buy drugs (kind of like scientology is a bunch of false information used to get people to buy scientology)... In scientology, being prescribed a "psych drug" makes you an "illegal pc" ineligible for auditing (though plenty of illegal pc's have been persuaded to hand over money, only to later be … [Read more...]
Jeff Carlson Talks About Elli Perkins
Something a bit different, but newsworthy and interesting. Aaron Smith-Levin has just interviewed Jeff Carlson, the former ED of Buffalo Org and son-in-law of Elli Perkins who was murdered by her son. Though there has been extensive media coverage about this murder and how scientology contributed to the tragedy, Jeff has not spoken publicly about it before now. He decided to speak after watching The Aftermath. Aaron provides an introduction to the video: On Scientology & the Aftermath, Mike and Leah have consistently expressed their desire to not attack the beliefs of Scientology … [Read more...]
Scientology and Psychosis – The Aftermath
Tonight's season finale of Leah Remini Scientology The Aftermath touches upon the subject of how scientologists address mental health issues. For many years, though Hubbard railed repeatedly against psychiatry, and called for psychiatrists to be shut down as a profession -- he had one caveat. The insane should be left to the institutions. They were barred from participating in scientology auditing. It was one of the many contradictions that can be found in Hubbard's writings - while he claimed all psychs were maiming people, he didn't want scientology to be involved in dealing with the i … [Read more...]
Eradicating Psychiatry — “Less steps than baking a cake.”
Ken Kramer is at it again. As usual, he is begging for money, even though the IAS claim THEY are the ones "eradicating psychiatry." Just like they are the ones bringing "human rights" and "literacy campaigns" (see recent post on GoFundMe page for those campaigns). Here are a couple of recent emails from Mr. Kramer. The “Plan To Take Down Psychiatry”
Ah, the certainty. The arrogance. The absolute conviction that your belief overcomes all facts. This is an example of a scientology fundamentalist (he also happens to make his living collecting donations for his "psychsearch" business in addition to being the "Overt Data Collection" guy for OSA Flag). The "plan to take down psychiatry" is to file complaints against psychiatrists. That assumes the majority of, if not all, psychiatrists are doing something for which a complaint could be filed. And then that those complaints are all found to have grounds and "Hey Presto" the psychs are … [Read more...]
Piss on The Psychs
A short commentary from a local Correspondent. The bubble world is becoming more fundamentalist: Mike, There I was minding my own business, driving up a street in Clearwater today when I noticed a sticker on a van window two cars ahead. At first, I thought "uh?", then it hit me - WTF?!?!?! I have never liked the stickers of a little s%^&head micturating on some other symbol (i.e., a Ford pick up will have a sticker of this character voiding on the Chevy symbol, etc.); I find it offensive actually. It remains me of high school punks who compulsively tried to create effects - ver … [Read more...]
