This is a report from the Flag local door-knocking campaign to "recover" all the people who have faded from view. Recognize that even these paltry figures are padded. Nobody reports "stats" in scientology without inflating them to make it seem like things are better. Probably the vast majority of the numbers represented here came from knocking on the door of members of the OT Committee and asking them what service they put their children on over the summer holidays. But even with that in mind -- this is very revealing. Since January 2018 they have managed to get 569 people onto a … [Read more...]
Scientology TV (Cult Shopping Network) Fail
Despite what scientology says, apparently people are NOT "Curious?" At least not to hear the official propaganda from scientology. The problem with the internet is that it makes it so much harder to hide your bs. This is an image from Google Trends. It is not doctored. It's not lies from bitter defrocked apostates on the fringes of the internet. It is available for anyone in the world to see (including the scientologists). No bias. Just raw numbers comparing the interest in scientology tv to the interest in Scientology The Aftermath (don't forget, The Aftermath is not currently airing … [Read more...]
Scientology Coming (Further) Unhinged
A recent article by Joe Nolfi for Entertainment Weekly elicited a pretty unhinged response from scientology. The article springboarded off Leah's appearance on Ron Miscavige's podcast Life After Scientology where she and Ron discussed the upcoming Season 3. Scientology's crazy response is a study in "never defend, always attack" mentality (see my earlier blog post for a lengthier discussion of this topic Dealing With Critics of Scientology): When reached for comment on Remini’s Life After Scientology comments, a representative for the church told EW: “Even a cursory review of this fringe … [Read more...]
The “Exact Person” Behind the “Entire Drug Epidemic”
More bizarre news from Denver via IAS Freedom Medal winner Meghan Fialkoff. While Denver HCO are busy trying to ferret out whether anyone in their field is NOT disaffected, they had some pretty remarkable news (though you have to wonder if there was anyone there to hear it). Apparently, like L. Ron Hubbard announcing the exact 12 men on planet earth who were trying to stop scientology, it seems Meghan Fialkoff has found THE PERSON responsible for the "entire drug epidemic and drug pushing" in this country. This has got to be a powerful dude. Anyone who attended this event, I would … [Read more...]
The Danny Masterson Cover Up Continues — How and Why
The Daily Beast article about the Danny Masterson case provides further insight into the back-story of the, so far, non-prosecution. There are many more details that have not yet seen the light of day, though it seems they will either come out in a trial or in stories in the media... I wanted to comment on the responses from Masterson's lawyer and scientology's anonymous "spokesperson" (Dave come on out...). First, lawyer Marty Singer's quote: This is fairly typical. It's all "old news" and "nothing to see here because he has not been charged with a crime." And when he is … [Read more...]
Denver in Distress
You can bet this is not an isolated example, just happens to be something sent to me in the last few days. Apparently things are pretty grim in the Denver "ideal" field. Can you imagine someone who IS disaffected responding to this command to come in to be investigated? But policy says HCO can issue a "summons" -- and policy is NEVER wrong. So, they do the most asinine things and then a whole lot of explaining as to why it didn't work "too much suppression", "the SP's are going wild" etc etc What is most interesting about this is how contradictory it is to the hype they sell … [Read more...]
Unnamed Sources
What are they afraid of by never including anyone's name? I'll tell you: Either the person does not really exist, and this is just made up copy like testimonials for the local greasy spoon written by the owner, his wife and family members, or They are scientologists who happen to be "a police officer" or a "crime documentary producer" (who makes videos for CCHR...), or The people who write these have NO IDEA they have anything to do with scientology, or that their statements are going to be used to promote scientology. If their name was included someone might contact them and ask … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies on Saturday
As a result of a holiday, flying across country and mostly the deterioration of my gray matter, I mistakenly thought Thursday was only Wednesday and I missed the Thursday Funnies... But never fear -- here they are in all their glory (?) Perth on a roll Nobody graduating anything, but they have brought in a TV show contestant to try to attract some interest Wizard of OH With a special skit to "take our ideal org to a done." Huh? Strange ideas You know what you said has nothing to do with what building you are in? Doesn't even register on … [Read more...]
“Scn US Senator Perhaps”
This email arrived with me yesterday about a guy running for the US Senate in California, letting scientologists know to vote for him because "he is a Scn. on ASHO lines." They want to get the word out that he is a scientologist, so I am giving them a hand. His website gives no indication of any scientology affiliation, though this cryptic entry under his "Political Biography" sounds awfully like one of those scientology Police Activities League buy-offs that happen all too often in Hollywood: Offered financial support to Police Support Youth Programs to aid in drug programs with … [Read more...]
Journey with Ron
This promotional item was distributed some time ago, I am just getting around to publishing it. Scientology continues to try to raise money for the "L. Ron Hubbard Hall" -- another white elephant that will eventually be paid for by "Sea Org Reserves" as a means of using excess accumulation of funds. But it will be milked for everything possible until then. It is interesting that scientology has continued to use the Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, a venue that seats 2300, for nearly 3 decades. No graduating to larger venues to handle the massive growth and increases in scientologists in … [Read more...]
