This is one of the more amazing pieces of bubble-think... It was sent to me for the Thursday Funnies, but this little piece of Facebook genius deserves its own post. What a HUGE accomplishment this is -- they got 2 new people doing OCA's! The Cult Shopping Network is clearly flooding the orgs and missions with curious people. OMG, 2 OCA's is a "Win, win, win." If that is true, and these people are not overwhelmed with new public, then the CSN is a complete failure. But even more interesting: Sunland/Tujunga, according to Lydia Hopwood, consists of 30% scientologists. The … [Read more...]
No New Orgs Part 2
Some more promotion about the massive expansion of scientology that clearly states "we are not expanding at all." (see first in this series from a few days ago) This is the only org for "6 surrounding states" -- meaning there are NO ORGS IN THE 6 SURROUNDING STATES. This is their statement... I assume these 6 states are: Kansas (there is another org in Missouri in St. Louis), Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa and Kentucky? Idaho, Montana and Wyoming have no scientology either -- but they are closer to Portland, Salt Lake City and Denver. Then again St Paul is closer … [Read more...]
WTF WOTF
Truth is stranger than fiction (though the Mission Earth series might disprove this old saw - it's hard to dream up weirder than that). I wonder if any of the WOTF contest winners understood that within a few weeks of being paraded on stage and handed a trophy and a check, their speeches would be being touted at the weekly "graduation" of scientology orgs? Like the people who are tricked into saying something positive about the "social betterment activities" and posing for pictures -- nobody warns them in advance that they will be being used to try to bestow legitimacy on scientology and … [Read more...]
Ideal Org BS
Here is the reality of an "ideal org". They bring in virtually all the staff from outside the area -- even from outside the COUNTRY. In fact, they circulate a bunch of these people around from one ideal org to the next to create the appearance that there is a bustling staff ready, willing and able to serve the floods of people who will begin arriving the minute the doors open. This has been reported plenty of times in the past. This is the first time I have seen a black and white, blatant admission that the staff are imported for an ideal org... … [Read more...]
CSN New Shows Premiering Soon
In the spirit of play, and trying to support the Cult Shopping Network with some ideas for programming that might actually get an audience, my old friend Jefferson Hawkins (author of the wonderful Counterfeit Dreams that I highly recommend you read if you have not done so already and mastermind of SkyHawk studios graphic design) put together some promotional pieces. I thought you might enjoy them. Hard to imagine anyone topping the Duggan's, though I think her Royal Governess of the Vast and Entirely Empty Valley Ideal Org might give them a run for their money (so to … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
The Never Ending Story... Now they are doing fundraising "bake sales" in a Mission? For what? An ideal mission building? To pay the staff? Get App'd? More accurate would be "Get BS'd" Total knowledge. Total certainty. Nothing over the top about this.... And it's just ho-hum to scientologists who actually believe LRH had "total knowledge" and they can gain this too. 18th?? Sounds like they are cannibals or something and just consumed their 18th human. Axiom 10 "The highest purpose in this universe is the creation … [Read more...]
Boasts of Scientology Part 2
The next two pages of the Freedom propaganda mag, following yesterday's post. The claims are just as absurd. 210 countries are home to scientology organizations and other assorted nobody knows-what-they-are things. The fact is that scientology has official CHURCHES OF SCIENTOLOGY (except in countries where they are forbidden to claim they area church) in a grand total of 30 countries around the world. This is the same 30 countries that they have had official churches in for the last 20 or so years, with the additions of Ireland and Taiwan. They try to fudge it by adding on some … [Read more...]
The Boasts of Scientology
I happened to pick up a copy of the new edition of Freedom magazine in downtown Clearwater (there are a number of stores that have an over-abundance of scientology promotional items on display -- not sure if they are hoping to curry favor with the few scientologists that might stop in or if they are intimidated into thinking they will be put on a "blacklist" if they don't accept them). This "special edition" is not the usual "Posse of Lunatics" or Anderson Cooper is a poopy-head or Lawrence Wright’s mother wears army boots. This one crows about the accomplishments of scientology and e … [Read more...]
More Ribbon Yankings
Yanking those ribbons has become a staple of scientology internal propaganda. Of course, though this is their proudest moment demonstrating their massive international expansion, no outsiders are ever allowed to attend and there is massive security presence to ensure they cannot. These are often timed to coincide with events -- either a few weeks before in order to include in the upcoming event, or shortly afterwards for the convenience of the Chairman of the Bored (as in Amsterdam, Birmingham and Ireland most recently). Now, with the March 13th standing-ovation-athon done and dusted (one … [Read more...]
News from Within The Bubble
Oh no, they've done it again. In their proud tradition of crowing about their amazing accomplishments, they have once again shown to the world how small they really are. Super Power was released in November 2013. Four and a half years ago. Super Power had been being hyped since 1978 when L. Ron Hubbard hisself said that it would be "available in 6 weeks"... at all St Hill organizations. Super Power was touted as THE thing that would make "planetary clearing a reality" (like everything before it, from New Era Dianetics to OT III to NOTs to KTL etc etc). But this was really GRAND … [Read more...]
