Clearly, David Miscavige is feeling the mounting pressure on his most cherished treasure: tax exempt status bestowed on scientology by the IRS in 1993. It takes considerable effort to get a letter published about a relatively obscure subject in a major paper like the LA Times. It is apparently a response to an op-ed piece that ran last November. 3 months of work to get this miserable piece of misleading propaganda to run... Monique "Muffins" Yingling makes a rare appearance to argue on behalf of Miscavige. She has been as out of sight as the COB himself since her fateful appearance on 20/20 … [Read more...]
The Shrinking World of Scientology
It is hard to imagine 10 or 20 years ago that the March 13th event in LA would NOT be held in the Shrine Auditorium. It was one of the BIG events that was always held in a big venue. Back in the day, there were also big events for Auditor's Day and May 9th held at the Shrine Auditorium. The Auditor's Day event was first to go. It was too close to the IAS event and too soon after the Maiden Voyage -- AND it was not a big money-maker and celebrating auditors was not high on Miscavige's priority list. First Dear Leader stopped attending, then it became a "local" event (ie no central … [Read more...]
David Miscavige Leader of Men
Of course, though the STAAD League blocked me from seeing their tweets (though I am the subject of a lot of them...) people send me some of their drivel every now and then. This one came in a little while ago. If you looked up "brown-nosing" in the dictionary you might well find this tweet presented as an example. "Mr." David Miscavige (nobody DARE refer to him as merely "David Miscavige" or heaven forbid, "David" or perish the thought, "Dave") has apparently marked many wayposts on the path to peace (like a dog peeing on a fire hydrant?) and somehow they "pointed" to a better … [Read more...]
Scientology “Facts”
This is a page from the Int Scientology News "New Years" edition where they repeat what was said at the New Years event for the few hundred remaining scientologists who managed to ignore the dozens of phone calls, visits, texts and emails about attending the video showing of the annual spectacle of bullshit. A big feature of every Miscavige Event is numbers. Strange numbers. Weird "factoids" that you cannot wrap your mind around as you sit at the event. Marc Yager ("Cueball" to Miscavige, who loves calling people by derogatory names) is the master of this technique. It's an official … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies
Well, that's odd... Shane Brockdorff thinks he was sent to AOSHANZO by LRH. Strange thing, I was WDC Sea Org at that time and put together the "Command Team" with Greg Wilhere and others and sent them to set up the first new AO since AOLA. LRH had nothing to do with it. A closed door announcement? They don't want anyone to know what they are announcing? Find a Ruin Everytime It's easy. Just tell people they are depressed, uncertain, unhappy, irresponsible, unrealistically happy, gleeful etc etc until they agree with something. Works everytime. Or every … [Read more...]
The Hungary Games
Things are not looking up for scientology in Hungary. This is the call that went out recently, and it is enlightening just how much trouble they are in: HUNGARY NEEDS OUR HELP TO SECURE THEIR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM! Dear fellow Scientologists, Hungary's freedom to practice religion freely - particularly Scientology - is in danger and needs immediate help. The Hungarian government is currently working to suppress the right of Scientologists to practice our religion in Hungary. They literally have pad locked the doors to the PC folder room at the Budapest Org with an alarm system that a … [Read more...]
The Scientology “Debunked Conspiracy Theory” Response
Scientology sent a statement to the press about our Paul Haggis post. As with everything in scientology's PR denial closet, you have to read it closely and parse its terminology carefully. Scientology mastered the technique of "depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is" long before Bill Clinton came along. Here is the statement in the Hollywood Reporter: In a statement, the Church of Scientology responded to Remini and Rinder's letter. The Church's full response is below: Leah Remini, Paul Haggis and Mike Rinder have predictably thrown up a reprehensible smokescreen to turn … [Read more...]
Concerning Paul Haggis
There is plenty of reason to worry about defending anyone accused of sexual assault in today’s climate. But the fear of consequences for speaking our truth has not held us back in the past and isn’t about to start now. We have supported victims of sexual abuse who have reached out to us and have worked with them and law enforcement to ensure justice is done for both victims and the accused. We have avoided trial by media. In this time of heightened awareness of sexual predators, it is easy to remain quiet when an injustice is being perpetrated for fear of being tarred as politically inc … [Read more...]
Clearwater VM PR Desperation
Scientology is so desperate to get anything resembling good PR they are putting out paid press releases about an upcoming "attempt" to do a "record-setting" street clean up.
