They will never learn. After enduring some of the worst PR in recent memory for declaring war on beloved Winter the Dolphin and Clearwater Marine Aquarium, turning their wrath on the Clearwater City Commission and then on Pinellas County -- scientology pays for a press release to announce how they are bringing the Clearwater Community together. Oi vey. Can they be serious? This is their paid release: Church of Scientology-Sponsored Block Party Brings Greater Clearwater Community together Tuesday, May 9, 2017 3:28 AM UTC CLEARWATER, Fla., May 08, 2017 -- On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, … [Read more...]
Scientology and Nation of Islam: A Volcanic Relationship
I really don't profess to understand the very strange bedfellows that are scientology and the Nation of Islam. I wonder if Farrakhan has noticed that apart from Crooked Alfreddie Johnson, scientology is pretty much exclusively composed of middle class white people? Which as far as I know is about as palatable to the NOI as people on food stamps are to scientologists? A Special Correspondent sent this poster to me and I am not sure who it was distributed to or what the source of it is. But I was curious about the possessive "saviours'" and wondered if it was a typical scientology … [Read more...]
Scientology Massive International Expansion Lies
I noticed this comment on Tony Ortega's blog a couple of days ago and thought it worthy of being preserved in a more easily searchable place. Thank you Panopea Abrupta -- I quote your comment in full and then add some further thoughts below: There are 14 , no, 15 oops, actually 16 states so far with NO $cientology Mission or Org. Alabama Arkansas Delaware Iowa Kentucky (though they do have the Cinncinnati Org, just over the bridge) Maryland Mississippi Montana Nebraska North Dakota Oklahoma (though they do have Narconon.) Rhode Island South Carolina South … [Read more...]
Blah blah blah
In the face of pretty much unanimous condemnation of Miscavige and scientology for their heavy-handed assault on the city and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, scientology paid for this press release. It is apparently the best they can come up with. I don't have much time to point out the obvious flaws in this "story" -- but I trust the commenters here to do just as good a dissection of this drivel as I would. CLEARWATER, Fla., April 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Church of Scientology’s Information Center in Downtown Clearwater announces that its doors are open to religious studies s … [Read more...]
Why Hide Scientology?
This email was forwarded to me. Southcoast Mission is one of the few "ideal" missions and is touted as one of the "best" scientology missions on earth. Why are they ashamed of even mentioning the word scientology in their email? Of course, everyone knows that the reputation of scientology is horrendous. They have told so many lies and had so many abuses exposed to the world that nobody wants to associate with them. But this is NOT what L. Ron Hubbard says. He proclaims people love REAL scientology -- the "Hubbard Brand" and flock to the real thing. Seems things have changed. He put … [Read more...]
Aftermath: Continued
I am cheating -- this is not really a "post," I am simply directing you to read this new article in Entertainment Weekly. I am traveling which has hindered my blogging abilities. And also, I saw a dozen fake twitter accounts sent out tweets about me this morning, so I figured they must be going nuts about something. I checked the news and this story is at the top of the Scientology newsfeed on Google. I figured this was the cause of their latest bout of ad hominem bleating, so it deserved wider coverage. It's my middle finger of the morning to the evil empire. Read the article … [Read more...]
Scientology’s Lame Response
The news that A&E has commissioned another 10 episodes of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath brought another lame response from scientology. Instead of responding to ANYTHING exposed in the first episodes, they did the scientology thing and sought to "attack the attacker." This is how they responded to The Hollywood Reporter: The organization, who continues to refute Remini’s claims and the information presented on her show, gave a statement to THR claiming A&E paid people to appear on-screen. “Real transparency would be for A&E to detail all forms of comp … [Read more...]
The Hype for “Saint Hill Size”
This concept of St Hill size is often talked about. Here we have the CO of the Flag Ship Service Org, the most expensive failed org in the history of scientology, telling people that she is sending someone to explain to them how they are going to go Saint Hill size RIGHT NOW. Hahaha. In scientology, TALK substitutes for reality. They talk themselves into believing their own hype. That "planetary clearing is a reality" or "we are expanding like never before" or "the Golden Age of tech is flooding people up the Bridge" etc There are numerous variations of the self-affirmation technique … [Read more...]
A Slavery Free World
Do you think Marisol Nichols has a clue about human trafficking? I don't. If she did she would be briefing them on the changes the IAS has enforced at Gold to reduce human trafficking there. After all, why not start at home? You don't need to go to Africa to find real human trafficking. To help Marisol identify human trafficking victims, here are some indicia that might be used: Holding someone's passport - especially when they come from a foreign country Restricting access to the outside world through physical means and by mental coercion Living and working in the same location -- e … [Read more...]
Clearwater on the Brink
A couple of recent articles in the Tampa Bay Times: Scientology leader to visit Clearwater officials a week before vote on property purchase and Dynamic of City Council meetings with Scientology leader a rarity, and an analysis of the property situation in Clearwater yesterday on Tony Ortega's blog make for interesting reading. I cannot help but draw parallels between what is happening with downtown Clearwater and David Miscavige's history as the supreme leader of scientology. Miscavige has long prided himself in his ability to "get things done" that others believed impossible. He began … [Read more...]
