After the last post Child Sexual Abuse in Scientology it is ironic that the next day I came across this piece of PR spin. This is the other side of the scientology equation. On one hand, they groom people to be victims of sex abuse and seek to cover it up when it happens. On the other, they seek to create a good image of themselves so stories of abuse are rejected on the basis of "It couldn't be true -- look how they LOVE children and support and protect them." It is an aircover operation done on the basis of what is good for scientology. And here is another one -- they are really … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies on Saturday
My apologies -- had a very busy week and was flying all day on Thursday to get home. I just couldn't manage these in time. Remember -- this was the biggest event ever! Seems they rounded up 15 or so people and got a few dressed in Star Wars costumes to fantasize about saving the universe with light sabers. Then they asked them to give real money to save the universe. Fiction writing magic And of course, fiction writing has NOTHING to do with scientology... At least that’s what they tell the contestants. The best they've got Not much happening i … [Read more...]
The Real Story of the Freewinds
With the recent outbreak of measles on the Scientology ship, Freewinds, Leah and I thought it important to highlight some points that are the real story about this ship. With the exception of Newsweek, generally the media is missing the boat. Their focus is on a case of measles rather than the bigger picture of the Freewinds. To directly answer the least important question: Do Scientologists believe in vaccinating? Most Scientologists have little faith in “Wog” (non-scientology) medical care. L. Ron Hubbard believed medical doctors wanted to maintain their monopoly on "heal … [Read more...]
Front Groups — Narconon Lies
This is a screen shot of a recent discussion with Narconon on their website. The person asks: "I've heard your group is part Scientology, is this true?" The answer: "There is no Scientology related. "We are a non secular program" The first sentence is simply a lie. They are ABSOLUTELY "Scientology related"... The second sentence is either a typo or a terrible misunderstanding of the word "secular" -- I am sure they meant to say they ARE secular. Because if they deny their scientology connection, they are certainly not going agree that they are affiliated with … [Read more...]
The Police and Scientology
I tweeted about this on Saturday, addressed to the Commander of the N. Hollywood Division of the LAPD for sucking up to scientology. He is not the first. The convicted criminal former LA County Sheriff Lee Baca was a big scientology supporter -- appearing at numerous scientology events and even riding on the scientology float in the Hollywood Christmas parade. Cory Palka and others from Hollywood PD have been buddies with Celebrity Centre over the years, the Hollywood PD even had a kiosk installed in their Police Station to promote scientology front groups. What these … [Read more...]
Scientology Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds
Scientology is shameless. And here is the latest proof. A new article in "Freedom" magazine they are pushing on Twitter. More evidence they do EXACTLY what they accuse others of doing, without the slightest embarrassment. This is sociopathic behavior. Freedom attacks the President of A&E Studios because scientology has been unable to arrange a meeting with him. "the Church’s attempts to seek a meeting with A&E since March of that year, met with not so much as an answer nor was there a means of having “a meaningful conversation..."" Funny -- we have TRIED for 3 years to get … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
And when it's done? There will be NO excuse for why California is not cleared right? Actually, according to this, NorCal and SoCal should ALREADY be cleared because they are "all ideal". It's made a BIG difference... This seminar will change your life... He's been doing this schtick for decades. Nothing has changed. This is a seminar for all scientology orgs... Perhaps she could begin with grammar and spelling for the staff that make the org promo? But you have to ask, what is SO successful about Denice? Anyone ever seen her in anything other … [Read more...]
Clearwater “Record Breaking” Community Clean Up
Funny how they already know it's going to be "record-breaking" weeks before it occurs... Because like all their other community/social betterment activities, they will simply SAY IT and nobody will ever challenge them. And because they already have it worked out that they are going to get children from the scientologist-owned schools to participate in a mandatory "event." The sort that if you don't show up you will be considered "out-ethics" and may wind up having to buy your way out of trouble, it's just easier to make sure your kids go for an hour or two (once the photos are taken you … [Read more...]
Scientology “Expansion” — The Reality
Scientology routinely claims "massive expansion" and "we are the fastest growing religion on earth" and other ludicrous claims. To “prove” it they always talk about "Opening new churches at an unprecedented rate" and show pictures of Miscavige yanking his ribbon in front of adoring crowds as balloons waft into the air in celebration... This large lie seems to work with the sheeple, and even some less than diligent media. After all, they have held grandiose ceremonies for 4 or 5 “new churches” each year. In fact these are not new “churches” they are simply new premises for old and failing sci … [Read more...]
Another Day, Another Lie: Clearwater Edition
A new press release about the Fort Harrison hotel is more important for what it DOES NOT say than what it does. Scientology puts out these paid puff releases pretty routinely. I came across this one accidentally, and of course, the lies flew off the page. Everything that emanates from scientology is designed to create an impression of normalcy that is part of the grand deception. This is no different. They proudly announce they provide "monthly tours" to the public. They see the 9th floor. A room. The lobby. The Auditorium. And a restaurant. Hardly a "tour". 21 people (though … [Read more...]
