Somehow, they are focusing on the number of staff needed for this to be an "ideal org". There has always been a rush to try to get people to sign up for staff, and the opening of an ideal org is the only real excuse they have. They tell people that with their ideal org they will suddenly have a massive influx of public and everyone will earn a living wage. It never happens. The only people who can exist on staff are those who have some other form of surviving with no money -- they live with their parents or they have a spouse that works a normal job, or they got an inheritence or someone … [Read more...]
Scientology Still on My Mind
Our old friend Terra Cognita is back with more insight. Sadly, I imagine many readers here can relate to these observations. I stopped writing regularly about Scientology after I’d said everything I thought I needed to say. I’d climbed out of the rabbit hole. Exorcised my demons. Laughed at the hypocrisy. And finally capped my pen when I felt it was time to move on. And yet, I still think about Scientology. This is the only property that adjoins the "ideal org" -- bustling with people 24/7 it is a warm and inviting look. But, to make up for this terrible location, they are going to … [Read more...]
Talk About Fabulous & Wonderful
This may be one of the best ever admissions to leak from the bubble. Not only is the SuMP doing phony photoshoots, they are PAYING people to show up to try to get enough of a crowd that it doesn't look like the few lonely losers that are the backbone of the "Santa Barbara" "ideal org." This call to arms says so much -- they staged a beach event in Santa Barbara, but it looked measly. So, the bright sparks decided to re-do the "Santa Barbara" beach event in LA so they could get LA people to attend to look like they were from Santa Barbara. And though they could import some Sea Org … [Read more...]
