One of our Special Correspondents sent in this very well constructed chart. In keeping with recent posts, it highlights once again, USING THE CHURCH'S OWN BOOKS AND WEBSITE, how there is NO EXPANSION anywhere other that supposed Missions in Asia and Russia and former Soviet satellites. There is no real expansion since the mid 90's. Funny, the granting of tax exemption to the churches at the end of 1993 was supposed to have marked the beginning of the golden age of Scientology. At least that is what Miscavige said. He announced that because HE had personally brought the IRS to its … [Read more...]
Joburg North Is Going Ideal — If You Donate, Donate, Donate
While things are hopping in Texas, I am hoping a lot of people are putting together their paragraphs about their local areas pursuant to yesterday's post. I think I have received about 20 responses so far, I am expecting more to come in soon.... But in the interim, here is a fascinating email from the beggars trying to build the sandcastle of Joburg North. What makes this so interesting is that Joburg already HAS an "Ideal, St Hill Size Org" (see the report about it here). Now this is a city with a population less that Houston which doesn't even have ANY org or even a real Mission. But they … [Read more...]
It’s Straight Up And Vertical!
A denizen of the fringes of the internet (not sure if he or she is unemployed to boot), sent me an email that got me thinking. The message was quite simple: I've been an avid reader of your blog for a long time, and before that your posts on Marty Rathbun's blog. I'd like to let you know about corporate Scientology's straight up and vertical expansion in Houston, a city of over four million people. While Dallas has an Idle Morgue, opened by COB himself, Houston has only a dingy, run down mission, barely visible from the street. The fastest growing religion on Earth has a presence in … [Read more...]
Chinese Leatherbound for Your Reading Pleasure
More of the book scam. These $500 unreadable leatherbounds supposedly fund the promotion campaigns for Ideal Orgs. But despite the collections over the years I have yet to see ANYTHING that is accomplished as a result (other than more books stuffed in the corner of the garage of the sucker that buys them). And just how many people in the US would actually WANT a copy of DMSMH in Taiwanese? And don't you find the tag line just a LITTLE pretentious? "Bringing freedom to the Chinese speaking world" There isnt even an org in Taiwan yet, and there is NOTHING in mainland China. There are more … [Read more...]
King of the Beggars
Jon Lundeen has been a champion money grubber for a LONG time. Way back in the 70's he was plying his trade at Flag. He has been "Captain" at ASHO for many years now (a sure fire indication there is NO management structure in Scientology as one of the hallmarks of Scientology management is the musical chairs of org EDs/COs, especially for orgs like ASHO that have continued on a decades long slow decline). But, the secret of his longevity is disclosed in his letter. Jon is a "team player." Like a public whale who can get away with anything as long as he keeps filling the coffers of the I … [Read more...]
The Budapest Boondoggle
One of our Special Correspondents in Budapest sent in this report of the sad tale of the failed attempts to create an "Ideal Org" in Budapest (this org was declared SH Size sometime in the 90's and at that time was one of the fastest growing orgs on earth). Some of the information in here is stunning -- the rip off by the Int Landlord Office, the financial irregularities, the utter incompetence -- but it is by no means uncommon. Similar stories have come in from many of these "Ideal Org" projects. The Budapest Ideal Org Story A bit of a background: Scientology was registered in Hungary as a … [Read more...]
Irish Library Campaign Fail
One of our Special Correspondents conducted a review of the "LRH Books Into Libraries Campaign" in Ireland. Before you review the results, this is another COUNTRY that has been announced as a DONE. These figures come from a study of the computer system used to track books in all Irish libraries. The catalogue of each library in each county were reviewed to find out how many "Basics" and "L. Ron Hubbard Encyclopedia" volumes are actually IN the library system (or ANY other LRH non-fiction title). The breakdown by County follows: Clare: 1, Carlow: 1, Cork: 14, Donegal: 28, Dun Laoghaire Rat … [Read more...]
David Miscavige = L. Ron Hubbard II
Charlie Chaplin would have had a field day with the unfolding insanity of Radical Corporate Scientology. David Miscavige, who, according to the church is "following in the footsteps of founder L. Ron Hubbard" (Karin Pinocchio Pouw) is apparently solidifying his position as "Founder II" with his imminent GAG II release. Clearly, GAG II is eagerly anticipated and will "follow in the footsteps" of LRH's filmed briefing where he introduced the Grade Chart. You can be sure, the GAG II lecture by Founder II will be more broadly disseminated and promoted than the "old" stuff from Founder I that … [Read more...]
Big Brother Invites You to Attend
There has been considerable discussion about the email circulated yesterday requiring information be sent in to Wig Adams at Flag for photo ID cards to be issued. Here is the email being sent out from Flag in response to that with a much shorter list of information being asked for. What made the email yesterday so believable is that they ARE in fact planning to issue ID cards to keep the unemployed, bitter defrocked apostates on the fringes of the internet out of Dave's Palace and Nuremberg Rally Events. See earlier post on this here. Notice the non-committal tone of this email "you re … [Read more...]
Dante’s Inferno — Scientology Style
Here is the ultimate admission that corporate Scientology has arrived at its final destination. Giving money IS the new auditing. Turning over cash provides "case gain", confers remarkable abilities and powers on you and it gives you status (at least according to the endless stream of promotion, emails, videos and events). Everything anyone could ever want from a journey to spiritual enlightenment and "truth revealed". The descent into MEST -- which is after all what money represents and that old saying is very true, money can't buy you happiness (or love if you follow the Beatles … [Read more...]
