This is sort of sad. Put aside the crazy “Mega-Status” title if you can.
These people, like so many others, actually believe they are doing good with the money they give to the International Association of Scavengers.
But they are so deluded they actually believe they are being made into “Big Beings” by the IAS.
It’s devolved beyond mere status — it’s no longer a big gaudy bowling trophy or jewel encrusted lapel pin or some sort of title that sounds like it was torn from the pages of Buck Rogers, no, they have taken it to the ultimate level. This is not just causing “case gain” it is actually “growing beings” like a greenhouse turning out 10 foot tomato plants. The IAS is the incubator of big beings.
Jethro Bodine says
This “big beings” BS was started by the IAS a long time ago. Anyone who donates to the IAS is a “Big Being”, gets “Fourth Dynamic Case Gain”, is “in valance”, is among the 1/10th of the 1/10th of the super elite who gets things done, and all other kind of claptrap. IAS reges like Michael Roberts, JHeff Pomerantz and Howard Becker talk about the “IAS Grade Chart”. This is all off-policy, squirell admin designed to get you give away large sums of money and get nothing back… except a status and a lapel pin. The IAS started the whole thing of “pure donations” back in 1984 thanks to Miscavige and the early IAS shills like the Feshbach Brothers.
Hallie Jane says
I can’t get past the “huge effects” comment. WHAT HUGE EFFECTS??????? Earth to Claire, there are none.
Jens TINGLEFF says
So, I’m wondering if this is actually a tax avoidance / money laundering scam (with the smokescreen of the “BIG wins” thrown in to make us laugh).
Pepper says
Notice how Claire gives no specifics as to what the IAS does to help the planet but she does point out that its great because of its Management by “brilliant people”.
So just because of those brilliant people, the IAS is creating “HUGE effects”.
What are the huge effects, Claire or Buz? The only huge effect I can think of is the effect on people when they realize that none of those “small amount of dollars” goes to help a single soul except to pamper and legally protect a cult leader.
Gus Cox says
Well, look at who’s running things – The Sea Org. With the exception of those members who are posted in Tech (auditors, C/S, etc.), SO members today are probably the least-trained of all Scientologists. How many SO members have even done the HQS? They get recruited, hit the EPF and scrub toilets, then do Staff Status I and maybe II, scrub more toilets, and then read some of whichever Admin Volume concerns the post they are given. From what I can tell, and I could be wrong, that is the end of their Scientology learning. For a great many of them anyway – where would they find the time?
That’s not even to mention the Little Man In Charge: He Who Must Not Be Named, the Prophet of Scientology, Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Center Mr. David Miscavige. Little Slappy was thrown off His Cl. IV internship because He hit His PC. And He’s not even on a tech post – He’s COB RTC, and RTC administers fucking *copyrights.* That’s an Admin job. Dave that little puke is just a pencil pusher. But in Today’s Scientology He’s like the effing Oracle of Ron, or something.
It’s really hard to believe, looking at this whole mess that is the COS. If I were still interested in studying/practicing Scientology, Indie would be the only way to go. What’s going on in the “church” now is not Scientology, it’s just fundraising. Besides, I’d bet there are more Cl. VIIIs and XIIs out than in, these days. Even if I’m getting into other philosophers myself, I think that if somebody is going to practice Scn, at least do it right or say upfront you’re doing it different.
And I’m totally cool with anyone who wishes to do either, or none. My Scientology trip has been a strange one as for so many other people, and I can’t help but think that anyone whether Still In, Out Quiet, Indie, or Out Bad is still my brother in some way.
Foolproof says
I would rough guess and say that there are about 50,000 to 100,000 trained Scientologists no longer in the Church. Perhaps even more over the last 30 years. All “wasted” by DM as he doesn’t want trained people around does he? All that potential GI, WDAHs, course completions, Clears and OTs simply thrown to the winds because essentially of one man’s stupidity and evil purposes and inquisitional type false dogma. All those auditors, C/Ses, cram officers, Qual Secs and supervisors sitting around doing relatively nothing (some of course are working hard in the Indie field). This fact is actually a worse disaster for this planet and this universe than the OTIII incident.
arrayofsunn says

I’d never even heard the expression “Big Beings” before I discovered the fringes of the Internet. Then again, I was just an illiterate Scientologist peasant.
I did used to wonder what it must be like to bask in the love and admiration that comes with giving so much. With my meagre fair, I tended to be just a hairs breadth away from DB, which is probably not quite the same as BB. Was usually met with the reg’s thinly veiled contempt.
Hiatus57 says
I seem to remember is was in a policy letter “Alter-Is and Degraded beings” about the third one I read after my first week on Staff.
Rather good read it was
Pepper says
Dollar – “Big Being” was used a lot in LA and Flag. Public talk about this amongst each other. It’s just sweet talk. The reges would still show contempt for you whenever they saw it wasn’t “creating the effect” they wanted on you and then they might give you a poke. Like tell you that “everybody’s worried about losing their house or their car”. You know, middle-class PTS stuff. Too bad for them that in LA car is king because everyone has to commute and needs a car. Public transportation is not so good here and the city is too spread out. And what’s wrong with having a house? I have a large family – we have to live somewhere!
Except of course not according to Jeff Pomerantz , a well known IAS reg who told me one night that people live above garages and such so they could give money to the IAS. I had three children then under the age of five and was living in a rented home. That didn’t matter to him though, he still laid on the guilt trip.
Later, when I was doing well I got yelled at for “living in a beautiful home” by another IAS reg. These guys have plenty of contempt to dole out and the Big Being flattery vanishes real quick.
DollarMorgue says
It really is such a scam. All this talk of HUGE effects and no specifics, nothing that can actually be verified.
Good on you for keeping your house 🙂

Years ago before I went to The Mecca of Coercion Threats and Spiritual Impairment I was onlines at the San Diego branch of criminal activities and Indoctrination. One evening two of the top execs of that org, (a couple of women, you know who they are) did what I think is called a “midnight run”. They appeared on my doorstep at 10:30 pm one evening unannounced. Of course I felt obligated to let them in since I was in the cult and in a suitable frame of mind that would permit this type of subtle intimidation and intrusion justified somehow. (I think cult members are made malleable and weak) Anyway I let these two execs in on the basis that they wanted to “drop by” and say hello. After a very short period of social small talk they started peering around and making comments like, oh, you have some nice expensive MEST here”. Eventually they left and I was scratching my head as to what the hell just happened. I think they were sizing me up. In the following years I ended up “donating” thousands and thousands of dollars to these criminals and in hindsight, with the blinders off, I can see how I was worked over. While I still hold these people in contempt, I can understand how it happens because everything that happens in Scientology is per Hubbards design. Thanks Mike for your blog, it helps me remember and discharge the anger from many of these events, while at the same time allowing others to get this information and hopefully stay away from these criminals.
Pepper says
Thanks Dollar.
And Doug, it’s good to talk about these events so public can read and identify with them, whether they are still in the cult or out. Thank you.

It never cease to amaze me that you have so many well-trained scientologists out in the field…loyal to LRH and Scientology…and yet we are branded ‘splinter group’ ‘suppressives’ oh and the most medieval of all; ” bitter defrocked apostate!”
We may not be WITH the CofS but we have no need to waste time being AGAINST it
Since it is doing a remarkable ”automatic” on its own.
What I find most irritating coming out of the CofS is that lethal combination of
Arrogance plus service fac with the accompanying organized occlusion .
How RIGHT do they want to be…? ” ALL BY MYSELF” would be a workable mantra.
Cindy says
How right can they get? Dead right. As in dead. Or as you pout it, Michael, “all by myself” for each of them.

What is WRONG with those people? They are deluding themselves just like OJ did after he slit his wife’s throat. Except this time more people are getting murdered. These SCION Mega Eat ALL YOU CAN STUFF Whales need to be outed in the ‘real’ press. They are disgusting pretending that whatever it is they are doing is helping anyone. These people are DIRECTLY contributing to the child abuse and kidnapping and stealing that is the hallmark of Mr. Slappy Toes.

Setting aside the grammar issues, I can’t help but wonder if Claire has written this in an effort to avoid or mitigate a perceived threat to her well-being and/or lifestyle. It seems fabricated … possibly for reasons known only to God or registrars. I feel sad for her.
Sindy says
Robin.
I agree with you. It does sound forced and fabricated. There is only so much sadness I can feel for any of the people still in supporting this as they are ultimately responsible.
These big beings are simply pretending. They know they aren’t, themselves, rolling up their sleeves and getting their own hands dirty, throwing their souls into helping people. They’re throwing money at something, hoping it means something, but never actually checking that it is by first hand investigation.
No one wants to upset the apple cart. It’s easier to sleep at night when one thinks one’s apples are neatly stacked and that others are clamoring for them.
In truth, the apple cart is sitting out in an empty field, in the rain, rotting. No one wants the apples except those still manipulating into enjoying the taste of rotten fruit.
Come on out and taste fresh fruit people. It tastes better than you can possibly imagine. 🙂

Nice analogy Sindy. I can see the apple cart, rotting in the rain and yes, it’s better to be out in the sun!

I thought the IAS didn’t officially exist as a legal entity. I may be confusing that with something else jeffrey augustine wrote. But if it does not really exist, does it have tax exempt status and are these whales writing all this off? It would be so much better if they gave to the Red Cross.
Mike Rinder says
THere are two entitities that operate in the US — IAS Administrations (IASA) and the US IAS Members Trust (USIMT). Both are recognized exempt. IAS Administrations is the administrative arm of the IAS and USIMT is the bank account. The IAS does not exist as a legal entity in the US.

Hipsters-wannabes who self-proclaim themselves to be hipsters, negate their status as such. The coolest, hippest people I’ve met rarely, if ever, regard themselves as hipsters.
I’ve observed it’s the same with Big Beings. They do exist and are out there, helping people and getting things done. They have little use for status labels such as “I’m a big being,” particularly self-assigned.

“There are brilliant people who are the management of this organization” on this statement the lady has portrayed the mesmerizing state Black Herat has achieved over this people so he can be provided with millions of dollars. And being their ‘Hat’ confirms the submissive state they have placed themselves into.
This is what makes them so blind, the placing of their dimension as beings and the effects they can cause ‘over there’, on another source. It is like saying ‘we are nothing’ unless we do this. Degrading you this far is what perpetuates the cult, crimes and abuses of organizations such as the CofS and is also what gives a ‘pretended’ power to sociopaths as DM.
Being the leader of such degraded people sure doesn’t make your worth bigger than a speck of sand. It really does suck to be Miscavige.

Their company is basically a door and window brokerage. They add a HUGE markup to contractors and designers buying doors and windows. They have a large showroom and staff to support.
I don’t see how they can stay in business. Their products can be bought cheaper elsewhere from other distributors.
Like other “big beings”, they’ve most likely bought into the IAS inculcated idea of “giving until you are really financially uncomfortable. Then dig yourself out over the next few months.”
This, as a practice, is unsustainable. Eventually, the IAS regges get a little too insistant, a little too zealous or a crisis such as a lawsuit against their company coincides with the drained company bank account and the golden goose is mortally wounded.
It’s just a matter of time.

why does the IAS need money if they have the Tech?
according to them, they have best, most powerful technology that works 100% of the time. clearing course, super power rundowns, OT levels, etc. yet they claim to need a lot of this man made stuff called money.
they spend so much energy trying to convince you that if you give them money you get in return technology that will take care of your money problems. then out of the other side of their mouth, they claim to never have enough money. how can that be if they have the very tech they are trying to sell to you? why aren’t they using that tech to solve their money issues just like they tell you to do?
why don’t they just go to Arte Maren or Gavin Potter’s seminars like they tell everyone else to do, shouldn’t that solve their problems?
a person is going to SELL me super human powers….from a menu no less…. really now.

At the rate they’re going they will soon exhaust the English language and have to invent new terms.

This just in!
A friend of mine who is a “Special Person” Indie, said his friend who is still UTR, was called into ASHO and told to disconnect from George Marshall. As some may know, George is a highly trained veteran Scn who is also the step-dad of actress Leah Remini. George is an OL. Anyway the MAA at ASHO told him to disconnect from George because he is no longer in good standing and they know that this guy and he are friends. The guy asked what crimes George had done? None were told to him. No info at all. He asked to see the goldenrod on George. Again, no SP Declare was shown. They just refused to show him anything in writing. He started asking questions like, why, what, etc. After asking a bunch of questions and maybe even voicing a few of his questions about the direction of the church, two MAAs were called to escort him off ASHO premises. He was actually removed from the premises by two MAA’s! (“HCO bring order!”)
So he left still not knowing anything about why he was being told to disconnect from George.
The church has sunk to an all time low with this one. It is proof positive that the church and the MAA’s are engaging in 1.1 whispering campaigns that Ron warned against in “The Anti-Social Personality” reference where he says not to engage in witch hunts or whispering campaigns.
The church probably knows that George is such a good guy and OL that if anyone read about him and found he had checked out the internet, that interest would be piqued and the person would then start looking. Or maybe the church is afraid of a lawsuit since George is connected to high profile Leah.
George is even in Leah’s new reality show on TV. I missed the first episode, which I heard was good and in which they talked about leaving Scn. Does anyone know what channel it is on and which day and time so we can all tune in to flow Leah power?
Mike Rinder says
Leah’s show was on TLC last night.
And as with her previous statements about the church and disconnection it was a spear straight in the heart of the criminal cult, presented with her usual straightforward, honest style and a bit of humor thrown in.
ANyone who watched it could not help but wonder about the sanity of anyone involved in the cult….

Cindy, Thanks for the detailed update. This of course will not end well for the Cult of Cult$.

Cindy, typical behavior of the folks who are MAAs in the SO and especially at ASHO. A being doesn’t stay in such a post without having a fundamental agreement with mind fucking and controlling other beings. Nazi youth in a past life? Why even ask.

IAS, and the BIG lie. Scientologists are victims of fraud and deceit on a grand scale. This may be the singular reason why Scientology as a sect is probably most violently opposed by a group largely composed of ex-members, not other groups. Very telling statistic and one that may be an important datum. The church likes to spread generalities about who it’s enemies are, it’s a survival point. “Its the Psychs’. Wrong source. Scientology is opposed by people who were once Scientologists, and long term ones at that. The general public is interested but mainly as a side show. If the “management” of Scientology was as “brilliant” as Buz and Claire Taylor claim, then management would figure out a way to reverse the very statistic that measures Scientologys implosion. Wake up and smell the coffee Buz and and Claire, you’ve been defrauded and when you find out the truth about what Miscavige is doing with your money, you may very well join the ranks of the misinformed to the ranks of active whistle blowers.

“Thank you IAS for all you do and I am happy we contribute to you.”
I wonder what the date will be when Claire goes into her severe reality adjustment?
We know that it will occur, we just do not know when. Claire is likely being handled by the wonderful IAS management big beings to understand that it is her job to be sure to keep Buz aligned with the aims of the group. He of course is wonderful (as long as he continues to agree with the reg quotas) but it is Claire who is the one with the real vision and is big enough to understand the broad picture and get the donos done. At some point Buz will likely ridge up a bit as the pot empties and then Claire may need to be told to bail on the loser as he has gone over a little to the dark side. But first the IAS will help with some sec checks and so on to attempt to right the ship. As the lies, the deceit and the third party from the regges ramps up, Claire and Buz will have a choice to make; which lifeboat to get into and who to get into it with. Good luck with your choices.
I could be totally off base here but I have seen it occur with others and I have some first hand experience with it as well. My advice to both of them:
WAKE THE FUCK UP!

I think I detect a telltale whiff of fertilizer.
Cindy says
Yep, plenty of fertilizer. At Flag the IAS regged me once on the “Big Being” close. “…you’re one of the few Big Beings that can actually see the problems before us, therefore it is incumbent upon you to donate cuz if not you, then who?” etc. It’s stroking all the way with the Big Being close. Then at dinner time a guy at my table also was being regged by the IAS at dinner. He donated. I asked him what they said to get him to donate? HE described the Big Being close. I said “Oh, yes, the big being close… they did the same one on me.” He did a double take and you could see the cognitive dissonance in him and then he decided to believe something different and that fleeting look went away. He thought-stopped himself! But I never donated again after that once I heard they were doing the same Big Being close on everyone. I wasn’t a big being after all — just an ordinary chump and mark.
Intentionally Blank says
The grammar! Oh my, yes. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Apparently, when your ‘being’ is that ‘big’ you don’t need the pettiness of things like syntax and punctuation.

The IAS reges are so brainwashed themselves that they think bit changes are happening so they can relay them to the public.

Or was the Reg just happy for his 15% commission and having better stats that week? Don’t confuse the ‘sales’ patter for real information, it’s just the set up for the take down.
Case Supervisors and Auditors used to have the skills to ‘find your ruin’ or as it is called in marketing, ‘find the selling point’. As CO$ no longer wants to sell services, they depend on ‘donations’ to keep the cash flowing. Don’t mistake brainwashing for self interest, the Reg wants his cut, and his status and job.
