Here is an email and promotional piece WISE just sent out.
The masters of administration are STILL operating in the dark ages — selling BOOKS that are “fully indexed” and contain “glossaries” and not even a MENTION of a soft-copy version that would be searchable. What better index could there be than “control F”? And, newsflash, you can click on a word on the computer (or your phone) and it will be defined for you!
But of course, you couldn’t charge $1350 for a flash drive or a downloadable file.
WISE thinks they are the bleeding edge of administrative technology. All the poor “wogs” out there don’t have the genius technology that they have which will save the world if the fools would just get smart enough to know what they are missing (it’s suppressed by Big Pharma, except for Bob Duggan’s Big Pharma which is good Big Pharma…)
You want to bet these books include references on using telex and mimeograph machines?
Of course, as you can see at the end, if you attend the convention you can get a 15% discount.
This is in reference to the “monumental” and “epic” US WISE Convention.
They have been touting this convention for months, repeating over and over the milestone news that the convention would be graced with the presence of Big Being Bob Duggan.
And the first results are in.
After day one of the epic event, these are some seriously [not] RAVE results….
Honestly, if this is the best they could do, they should have just made some shit up.

Day 1 of the American WISE Convention!
From: WISE West U.S. <wisewestus@wise.org>Dear Steve,
Here are a few successes from Day 1 of the American WISE Convention.
“Patrick gave me info that I can start using right now!”
“I feel I can better connect the dots on expanding or solving areas that are not expanding…”
“…[we] made our ROI for this seminar as [its] worth the investment…”
“I loved every speaker. [I] learned so much I cannot tell you on this one page.”
“I was very impressed with all of the presenters/speakers and how they are all applying LRH tech and are all successful. Very informative and useful data!”
There’s still time! Come to the Marriott Burbank Airport. Its going great!
Sincerely,
Sakhi Guma
Executive Director
WISE Western United StatesReally looking forward to seeing some shots of the turnout — you already know the order of magnitude as this is not being held at the LA Convention Center like Amway or Herbalife…

SadStateofAffairs says
The Church of Scientology itself is incontrovertible evidence that LRH Admin Tech is ineffective, at best, potentially destructive at worst.
And so, too, is WISE. They are supposed to be the experts of Admin Tech. Yet look at the state of WISE Itself after 40 years. The Church may be shrinking, but it still has a visible existence. WISE barely does exist after all these year.
In the same vein, the actions and words of Scientology leaders, staff and devoted members, are pretty compelling evidence that Tech (Red Vols) is not as workable as claimed. They are the living examples of immersing themselves in Scientology and its biggest advertisement.
Back to WISE for a moment, a few years ago, I routed out of the SO and, I suppose, to keep me in the fold, I was lined up with a job at a WISE company. I was taken on as an independent contractor. Then I was contacted by WISE and told that I must (must!) get a WISE membership because I was technically self-employed as an independent contractor. I utterly ignored the dictate of course.
MM says
A wise decision.
Nickname says
Disagree. The problem with Scn is not the tech but the bumbling “application” of it. You have to be blind to not see how screwed up things have been. I’ve seen for myself how sessions are botched and left uncorrected, how admin tech is used to justify insanity, and how even simply written stuff in subject to just wild “interpretations.” And if you think today Co$ is somehow “applying tech” you really haven’t been reading, or you’ve had a few too many over the weekend.
I get really sick and tired of screw-ups blaming LRH for their own miserable failures.
You think Scn is the only place in the world where things get screwed up? Apple was in serious trouble for years because they deviated from the insight and goals of its founders. Only when Jobs returned, did it get back on track, and since then, boomed. (Did they “blame Jobs” for creating “flawed computers’ and “bad management?”) Screws-ups happen all over the place, all the time, and people get in and get dirty and fix them. But oh, no – not with Scn! No, no. With Scn, everyone is perfect except for LRH who screwed up.
You want to find the “real why?” Go look in the mirror.
Damn.
Mike Rinder says
Silly comment, especially your second last sentence. You don’t know this person or what they have done or not done.
I had written a long response to you about this flawed logic of KSW 1 — the tech is perfect, it’s just the application that is at fault, but computer gremlins ate it….
Not going to bother retyping it as it is probably a waste of time.
Just think about this. NO org has continuously expanded since the start of scientology. Not even over a few decades. Had they, the org would be enormous by now. Why is this? Orgs have Qual — the great breakthrough from the “wholestrack” as to why earlier civilizations only lasted a few billion years. They have ethics to find the SPs, the only way orgs can be stopped. They have the Data Series, the only reason orgs don’t expand — wrong whys. etc etc
If the reason orgs don’t expand is solely because of misapplication then it means scientology will only succeed on a perfect planet, not this one. And how shortsighted is this — LRH was the one that discovered everyone on planet earth is aberrated and has a reactive mind. So if the flaws of humans are not taken into account then it’s not very clever. Way less clever than the invention of broadcast TV which happened around the same time but because it really does work, could not be impeded by the imperfections of man.
MM says
There you go again Mike with your logic. ?
Roger Hornaday says
Nickname, I’d love to hear your argument presented dispassionately. As it stands it’s an appeal to emotion, not to analytical thought. You’re angry and I feel for you. It’s the opposite of having a good time.
Nickname says
Mike –
You’re right, I don’t know SadStateofAffairs, much less what he has done or has not done. And I understand that you defend your friend, but I do not understand your politics, so I guess I’ll try not to post five times to every single topic.
I have no problem with Scn tech. I have no problem with the philosophy. I have no problem with gains from correctly done auditing. And I’m not going to sit around and question sanity just because someone else, who has never shown me any logic of their own to impress me otherwise, nevertheless tells me it is insanity, and cannot even begin to ‘prove’ that.
I too have the right to defend those I consider my friends, and I have a right to stand up for what I know is correct – if I choose to.
If you saw a reasonably healthy individual in reasonably good condition in life, making plans to jump off a cliff and die, would you try to stop him, even if you did not know him? I see people casting a bit of doubt here, a bit of suspicion there, a little innuendo, then a lie, then a lot of lies … and I see people begin to question what they thought was correct, and question what is in fact, correct. Gains become “some improvement.” Workable becomes “parts of it are beneficial.” Eventually, lies become “truth.” Two plus two becomes three, or five, or something, but not four. A car crashes into a tree, so the driver blames the car, or the tree. There are police reports that are hilarious, e.g. “I was driving along fine until a tree jumped out in front of me!” The tech works just fine, and delivers exactly as promised, if used correctly, but to say that makes one a “KSW-banger” or a “fundamentalist.” Yeah … one of them bigots, you know, the wrong people.
To me, an individual’s personal integrity is the most valuable thing he has. The comfort of agreements is no substitute for truth. So I wish you and everyone here your integrity, and the truth – however it may find you.
SadStateofAffairs –
Sorry if my reply to you was un-auditor-like. Isn’t it a bit over the top to chisel away at Scientology because it has been misused, and that misuse has yielded poor results? The simple fact is that there has never been anything better, there is such a thing as the truth, there are such things as answers, and if used correctly, Scientology does deliver as promised. That has been my experience with it. I too have experienced the “disruption” of being on the receiving end of misuse of it, and that stirs up a lot of charge, but that too, can be fixed.
Mike Rinder says
At this point, I can only say I try to allow everyone to express their views as long as they are not abusive. Glad you are here with yours.

Worthless Information Seriously Expired – WISE
If I had a business proposal presented and learned WISE was involved = LOL and go find someone who’s serious about making money.
Todd Cray says
It’s been widely documented that “source” plagiarized most of his “research.” Recent research suggests that WISE principles were first discovered by one Don Corleone!
Except, El Con thought the Don was too much of a softie: Why deliver real goods such as prostitutes or drugs, when you can sell illusions. Why have mob soldiers when you can have sea org slaves–for a billion years. Why settle for horse heads, when you can take away their whole family through disconnection.

It’s incredible. These insane criminals have to sell their frauds on paper because they have a large, otherwise worthless printing facility that manufacturers books — books and shit nobody wants but, well, if they actually joined the 1980s technology, their worthless printing equipment would be sitting doing nothing, nothing at all.
It’s twice amusing because these insane crooks are *trying* to sell their frauds on line but obviously can’t because anybody who is on line is already well aware that Scientology is an unworkable fraud.
And so the insane crooks continue to print crap, all of which ends up in land fills.
It’s just so bizarre.
FOTF2012 says
If Scientology Admin “Tech” had been concocted in the Middle Ages, today the church would still be using scribes to manually copy over each Hubbard word, letter by letter in prescribed calligraphic style.
Fundraising would be needed to keep securing more monk-slaves to continue the tedious work and expand the production rate.
The printing press (Johannes Gutenberg in the West, Bi Sheng in the East) would be derided as “wog” technology that would doom an organization to failure.
Of course, when an SP monk-slave calligrapher made the slightest error they would have to be made an example of, and all the affected texts would have to be redone — and resold.
OTD-OUTTHEDOOR says
Dang! I was so hoping that the email had really been sent to Steve Jobs, who dropped his body a few years back. I fell for it, like Victoria. Hubbard Business/Havingness College is such a joke. Talk about an empty building and empty endeavor. I recommend Angry Gay Pope’s video of his visit to said college. It’s hysterical and proves how EMPTY and hollow is so much of the El Con Blubbard empire.

12 volumes on how To run your business…into the ground.
A fully staffed Org Board paid a living wage would crash and burn any business.
I worked at a WISE business where there there were 12 administrative staff for a production staff of 32. Four of those were bosses. Besides the fact that everyone was doing the same thing and getting frustrated when they found out what they had just spent hours doing the same thing someone else was doing, the overhead was outrageous.
When the owners finally laid off the good admin staff and kept the 4 bosses, they still crashed and burned because they were trying to run their business using WISE.
Here’s a tip. When you spend more time trying to figure out how to run your business than doing business, It. Will. Fail.
Idle Morgue says
The Org board is run like the Government. Spending other people’s money foolishly, no one knows what others are doing and stat driven life drives people and customers and admirers away…
It was implemented to confuse people
No one knows that the Registrar had to get their stats up so they bankrupted a poor sap to obtain their goal. The poor sap is caved in – and the D of P or D of T thinks “he is a no case gain” PC, has an MU or is an SP.
This Keeps Scientology Working very nicely when they can hide their crimes behind the Religious Cloak.
statpush says
I wouldn’t so quick to judge the Organizing Board. It still is applicable for Communist Banana Republics.
statpush says
“It was really good…really”
“I am speechless”
“I got data I can use right now, instead of data that requires me to wait three months”
“I can’t tell you how much I learned…no really, I have no idea”
“I learned to connect dots”
“…and the glossary – where have you been all my life?”
“Our ROI was DOA”
hgc10 says
I’ve always been a big fan of dictionaries and glossaries, but Hubbard’s (and Scientology’s) obsession with looking up word definitions is very absurd and misplaced. It’s an extreme example of substituting shallow effort for real understanding, simplicity for complexity, pablum for steak.
MM says
There’s ‘s no business like Wise business like no business I know
Everything about it is revealing, everything the real stats will allow
Nowhere could you get that empty feeling when you are stealing that extra chow
There’s no people like Wise people, they smile when they should blow
Even with a turkey that they know will fold, they keep on making those claims so bold
Still they’d be ecstatic to take all your gold, let’s go on with the show

It was nice of Grant Cardone to let them use a pic of his plane (and possibly the top of his head) for their flier. I’ll bet he charged them for it. 🙂
I don’t know why, but the fact that this person denigrates Amway and Herbalife while selling bullshit out of an airport Marriott is making me giggle. Pot meet kettle. MLM scams meet Cult.

That was me comparing this to Amway and Herbalife

Sakhi is STILL in the Game. Man. That is just astounding. Good to see he is just quoting others and not using his tremendous talent as a writer to lure people in. And soooooooo fancy having it at the Marriott Burbank Airport. Wowie zowie. Top shelf all the way for WISE.
Roger Hornaday says
Twelve big volumes of raw material when distilled to its essence leaves you with a pamphlet of bad business advice and a way to wash your windows with newspaper.
Chee Chalker says
You know I understand the whole brainwashing/high pressure sales thing……..but I can’t help but think that anyone who pays $1350(!) for BOOKS (!!!!!) that are not rare first editions of actually readable, enjoyable, worthwhile material, kind of deserves what they get.
People like the Cardones, Duggans and Cruise. But no doubt those people would get their copies ‘gratis’ because of their big-beingness.
Big-beingness translates into free havingness.
MM says
Yes, beingness is above havingness except when you have no money. I guess Jesus wouldn’t make it in this church.

Speaking of Steve Jobs, isn’t it amazing that he was able to build Apple without the miracles of Admin Tek? Sorry to be begging again to be included in the loop, but, are these the “New OEC” vols.?
John Locke says
Probably a secularized version of policies. Although there are only a handful of concepts (that are well known and in use for at least a century) in the OEC Vols that would be of use in real business.
A few decades ago I remember some ex-GO criminal (a guy named Heldt) who was talking about producing such a derivative work.
Ann B Watson says
Hi John Locke, For some reason Heldt rings something in my head, perhaps I read a comm with his name on it,Nothing good comes with those types- Thank you for giving more info
on OEC Vols..I was about to start all that too when the fun & games GOI gave me a call.I had bought all of anything Ron wrote in the SO so I had all the volumes & had gone thru a lot myself in the hallway of the H’wood Inn when my five roomies were bugging me.Always Ann.
