That whole show was really about Scientology.
OT8 and class VI auditor Henry Higgins bets his good friend Pickering that he can get anyone up the bridge and to OT.
They choose the most degraded being and PTS they can find, a wog flower seller, and after some intensive word clearing, have her pass muster at an IAS gala amongst a crowd of OT’s.
One of the OT7’s present is convinced Eliza is Sea Org, but he is confronted and shattered. (He is later found to be SP and put in the Hole.)
Eliza’s father, another degraded being, tries to reg Higgins for donations to his local mission, but is threatened with disconnection and forced into ethics and back on lines.
Independent scientologist Freddie makes a play for Eliza, and she blows. Higgins at first decides she is fair game but before he can dead agent her, she realizes that Freddie’s tech is squirrel and naturally goes back to Higgins and they get their 2D in for the rest of their lives (at least until they drop their meat bodies).

I noticed something I thought relevant to OT farces.
On March 6 Mike has a post about an OT story of a truck driver with initials DS driving through Wyoming after midnight. The story goes that the truck starts sliding on ice, he went exterior and gave the truck a kick and got it back on the road. DS then called Wyoming DOT and they salted the road. A reader nameft Valerie pointed out that Wyoming does not use salt and other reasons why the part about calling Wyoming DOT is bullshit.
A few days ago on the Bunker there was a section about OT stories. The same story about DS the truck driver kicking the sliding truck appears. However the reference to Wyoming, salt and the DOT is now gone. DS now just says he was in the middle of nowhere. It would appear that whoever makes up these stories read Valerie’s comment and changed the story accordingly.

The various OT committees are one of $cienolands great scams. First, yoke all those who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on the ‘tech’ and get them together to fund raise, with out giving them commissions. Sorry for the ‘off topic’ here but this morning was especially difficult for me reading TOs blog about the Russian girl and what she has been put through. My daughter is in CMO in Los Angeles and has suffered the same mind numbing treatment but now she in one of the perpetrators as well. She married a Russian fellow who was on a similar visa to Regina about a year ago. So now he can legally stay in the country and do slave labor but I wonder what the story behind his family really is?
That said, I see Steve Besio continues to suck his 10% commissions for his FSMing activities off the remaining public. Gawd, I cannot wait until this sorry cult is gone and people like him are put out to pasture!

I’m with you Coop. I too read that story and was struck (YET AGAIN) by the lengths this “church” goes to to hang on to ONE parishioner, staff or Sea Org member – the lies and deceit – the cruel treatments – the continuous and constant skirting around or misuse of the good faith intent of laws. For what – for nothing more than the Almighty dime. The longer I am OUT, the more I am disgusted that I was a part of it and the more incredulous I am that good people are suffering such injustices at the hands of this “church” and not one American agency with any power or clout will do a damn thing to stop it. Thank God for people like Mike and many on this and other blogs and all the other whistleblowers.

Making OTs does not bring a lot of money to Miscavige-the income of Flag, or other AOs, has to be allocated per sacred Finance Policies and some of that income has to stay in the AOs to cover expenses.

Right you are, Silvia! There’s not much money in making an OT and it is very labor intensive. But buying real estate is where the big bucks for DM is! Especially if you use OPM, other people’s money. There are several orgs, Las Vegas is one of them, where the parishoners paid for the org and yet no one gets their name on the title. The title is held by the church or DM AND get this, they then have to pay rent on the place to the church. So you buy it with your own money, you don’t own it, and you have to pay rent to your master forevermore. What a clever and brilliant money making scheme DM came up with. To hell with making OT’s, let’s get more real estate!
Wow, interesting info. The only orgs I heard paying “rent” were those “repaying” the IAS who bought their building. If this is true, that the local parishioners raised the money and bought the building (highly doubt it) AND they are paying “rent” to someone I would be very appreciative of knowing what the source of this information is and whether it can be verified. Yes, Cindy and Mike: I was always under the impression that the orgs were paid for totally by public but the full ownership and title goes to the CoS, or one of its corporations. It’s amazing how then the org has to pay ‘rent’ to an entity that has paid zero for it. Plus whatever other cleverly devised fees there are to pay to flow money up lines. It was always hard for me to understand how the public doesn’t see this, and when they do, they consider that there’s nothing wrong with it.
I have had some public tell me that the CoS has a monopoly on the tech, so basically, the public has to put up with whatever is dished out on them, and that’s why they tolerate this sort of thing. It’s just the was it is to them.
