Straight up and vertical to OT…
How? You just need to give us enough money
Sock hopping
Dress it up any way you want, it’s always only about the money.
Wow — they are going to have an auditor soon
I thought this was CC’s thing?
CC is the closest org, just down the freeway and they are poaching their public right out of the blocks. What about the largest and most important org on earth doing what they are supposed to do? The place is dead as a doornail already!
Truth in advertising?
The magic show: Stan will remove the money from your wallet without you even knowing.
And BTW isn’t it a little strange that his status as a magician and power FSM gets equal billing as Class 6 OT VIII.
Big news
See a video of the COB opening New Zealand… Wow.
Truth in advertising?
Others are building a better world. Scientology talks about doing it.
Fastest expanding technical division
Well, if one guy is it, it’s going to be a long time to clearing “Southern Ontario” (I guess Toronto Org has the north?) let alone the planet
We are turning the tide?
Funny, the only tide I see is the one that is swamping your sorry asses with “entheta”
What’s the point of this?
Seriously?
Michael Roberts doing Cinco De Mayo? Why? Anyone who isn’t white is close enough?
But hey, they have pinatas! (The public who are hung up and beaten until all their money falls out?)
What is happening in LA?
Nothing that has anything to do with scientology….
These are FREEWINDS successes…
Wonder if they do anything with OT Levels at all these days?
“Dozens” showed up….
And this is an ideal org with the fastest growing tech division on earth.
And that Raferty [sic] is like some superhuman. In 9 months he went from SRD to OT V, 3 L’s, OT VI and Running in Circles Pgm 3 TIMES! No quickie tech here folks…
Management is coming to tell us how to go ideal…
I’ll save you the time. You give us your money.
“UK” knight?
Jim Bridgeforth?
What did you “Done Sir”?
Facts about Birmingham
Yeah, glad to know there are a lot of young people there. If there hadn’t been they probably would have not spent 10 years doing nothing with that building….
Phase 1 Construction…
Is demolition….
They will soon have an empty building like Birmingham. And no money to do anything else. Think Chicago. Detroit. Battle Creek. Philly. New Haven. Kansas City…
This is the best they could do for the silver sucker?
A fuzzy photo. Calling her a “pirate”?
And BTW, do you know what “pirates of purpose” means?
What the hell?
At least it’s different….
Rafferty Pendery on How To Overcome Time and Money Problems: Have a rich mother-in-law.
What a fucking tool.
“Others are building a better world. Scientology talks about doing it.” And talking and talking and talking…
Cambridge and the squiggly line that represents nothing.
“LA” when thinking of $camology means Largely Absent.
Ideal Columbus…I, uh, I, uh…
Why is Joburg North talking about making OTs? They have one auditor who isn’t clear. They have no clear team. Shouldn’t THAT be what they should be working on?
Joburg North’s public, for the most part, have been declared Special Persons! Hahaha!
I’m struggling to think who their field can even be?
So how is the new cabinet stat measured? By volume (VNCI – Volume of New Cabinets Installed)?
I can hear the Shermanspeak now – “In just the last 12 months, we have installed enough cabinets to hold the pyramids of Giza. 5.4 times!”
These people are so unbelievably materialistic and narcissistic that it makes me nauseous!
Ladies and gentlemen, may I please introduce you to STAN MARSH, a.k.a. Raferty Pendery!
oH man, the Korey Poole one is hilarious! If he only knew how the trolls have been playing him.
Yep, keep on sending your stats to headquarters, you gullible goof.
Sock Hop… thank you to all who attended and donated.
Seriously, is this the “church” you want to be a part of.
This “creature” called scientology only cares that you donated. So sickening.
It is truly difficult as a never-in to comprehend the level of duress the CoS causes in those misfortunate enough to have gotten involved with it. The level of pain it has caused so many decent people for so long is truly a tragedy. However, it’s not difficult to see how easy it would be to become trapped by it in the first place. Afterall, Hubbard made some pretty enticing promises during his time… being a master story teller, false prophet and snake oil salesman all rolled into one. I imagine becoming a scientologist is a lot like being fished; once baited with the initial “wins”, you’re just reeled in deeper and deeper. From my pov, the CoS propaganda I see here and elsewhere would be enough by itself to make a sane, rational person begin to doubt their own reality.
“…once baited with the initial ‘wins’, you’re just reeled in deeper and deeper.”
Great observation. That’s exactly what happened to me.
Hi Carl – I think it happens (or at least an attempt is made) to just about everybody at some point or another in their lives – the classic confidence trick to gain someone’s trust to defraud them. I think it’s especially true that ‘good’ people are typically targeted and prone to it as we tend to want to see the ‘good’ in others because that’s our mindset. There is nothing inherently wrong or shameful with being that way. That’s how I want to operate in society and it’s how I raised my own children; it was important to me as a parent that they grew into being ‘good’ people by having morals and values. Hubbard saw it the opposite way – that everyone who didn’t fall into line must harbor ‘evil’ or criminal intent precisely because that was his mindset. The CoS has just taken the long con to a whole ‘nother level, imo. It takes a great deal of inner strength and the courage of your convictions to get out of something like that once you’ve been reeled in. Glad you got out.
Me too.
The Scientology crime syndicate being exposed for what it is, a money grab.
The Freewinds comes to Cambridge event pictures were sad. It looked like a pot luck lunch buffet served at a senior center, followed by a mandatory meeting with the resort sales staff that you have to attend if you take advantage of one of their cheap getaway offers. The slick sales people force you through a long and overly acted out presentation filled with dreams of grand hotels with posh accommodations and elegant dining halls with amazing opportunities and exciting experiences. Then they separate you into little groups and the finance guy tells you how easy it will be to make tiny little payments for your very own week at one of their fabulous resorts, and how you will immediately become a part of the empire and be able to vacation like the rich and famous. Then, the plants in the audience are brought up and their deal is announced over the loudspeaker and everyone cheers. The next announcement is for a couple that bought 2 weeks. Cheers! Then they turn the heat on to make the sale and when you decline, they start asking you if you were just out for a free vacation, and maybe you are the type of person who just takes advantage of situations and other people. And that’s ok because some people just aren’t cut out for the glamour life. And so on…
Yeah, that’s what the pictures look like to me. But, surely that can’t be true? It’s a church, after all. Not a hard sell or a scam? Right?
Oh ‘E-Angel…..I was at the same ‘vacation’ presentation last week ! ?
Yikes I can’t believe the Freewinds is going to be in Cambridge! I feel like I should go there and try to rescue some of those poor souls!
I’m just wondering if –
a) How are they going to get the ship there?
b) Will it fit in the building.?
c) If the above aren’t feasible then maybe they could make a little ships funnel hat with the word “Freewinds” printed on it and get Demented Miscreants clone to wear it.
All I could think of when I saw Stan Gerson was Heber Jentzsch and that Stan was the late Alexander Jentzsch’s godfather. Free Heber.
I remember Heber saying to his brother, who was trying to get him out, the only way I’ll get out is in a box. Free Heber!
🙁
Et al
Most Thursdays, the jokes just write themselves. This day is not different.
What’s next? The regs hold you upside down and shake out the loose change? It look like the renovators destroyed some nice wooden and granite floors. Do you know how much those things cost?
Now that the IRS has been ‘ordered’ by Executive decree, to ignore political actions by non-profits, what will $cientology do? You know they are looking for a way to exploit this. Exploitation is the real $cieno creed.
I have a couple of thoughts here. First, why the rush through services. Wouldn’t life improvement or spiritual enlightenment be better measured by something else than the quickness of courses completed and levels attained? Second, why is the operation of the business of the church such a focus for its message to its parishioners? I don’t really care if my local barista has sold more latte’s this week or has more customers. All I care about is that I can expect go there and get a good coffee drink served by a friendly, non-stressed out barista after an acceptable amount of waiting. The internal workings of the church is the concern of only the staff that work there, yet every promotional piece is about the solvency of the business of church operations.
RK,
McDonald’s used to have a slogan: “At McDonald’s, we do it all for you”.
Well, in our favorite cult, the implicit slogan is, “At the Church of Scientology, we do it all for us”.
I’m always amazed that there are so many events now at so many places. If I was still in, i’d say ‘fuck it’ after enough of them. Do the k.a. drinkers still go ? Don’t they realize its always a $ grab ? Howcan they take this shit ? The only one that could work well is the one where stan gerson takes it out of their pockets with magic. I wonder if he can produce checks for thousands with the owners signature as well.
Taking out the windows? Can’t have the parishioners looking outside?
Off topic:
“Trump Signs ‘Religious Liberty” Executive Order Allowing for Broad Exemptions. President Donald Trump on Thursday made good on a promise to allow religious organizations greater freedom in political speech…Trump promised during the campaign to dismantle the Johnson Amendment which bans tax-exempt organizations like churches from political speech and activities. His executive order relaxes IRS enforcement of that ban…” “We will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied or silenced anymore…We are giving our churches their voices back”. Trump said”. – NBC News.
Of course, to repeal the Johnson Amendment would take an act of Congress, but this exec order takes a lot of the teeth out of it by mandating that the IRS use “maximum discretion” in its enforcement, i.e. when reviewing data that might give it reason to revoke an organization’s tax exempt status.
The Evangelicals are beaming with joy and this surely has to be brightening Miscavige’s day.
Comforting to know that our President cares so deeply about American churches being targeted, bullied and silenced.
I mean, God forbid.
No, let them say what they want to say. Truth revealed. Revelatory transparency.
Dave,
Gotta spend some of that stash of yours. Hide it in plain site by shooting your wad on some renovations. Right?
Too little too late. Ding-A-Ling’s stench in Clearwater is keeping her on her way to Disbarment. The FBI is spilling the beans. The fan is overheating; how can you confront and shatter all of the shit that is flying in your direction?
Monique Yingling will not be disbarred for what she has done unless the bar can prove (or the IRS) that she she knew about under oath that there were illegal goings on. Other than that, MY may continue under the guise that she is doing by the best by her client. I am sure she is very heavily compensated for the trash hauling she does for $cientology
Mark, I think what may be being referred to, was a suggestion that Yingling’s letter to the Pinellas Commission on behalf of Scientology, constituted interference in the political process by a church. That seems to me like a stretch, and I would expect that Yingling is savvy enough to know what to avoid doing.
She seems to me to be quite without scruples, but I don’t know that she would be willing to engage in actual illegality the way that the attorneys who are scientologists seem to have. But then again, I think of the examples of the attorneys who defended the mob, who seemed to have been lured in by the excitement of breaking laws and conspiring.
I am sure she has her finger on the “eject button” just in case she needs to bail on him and report what’s been going on . Gathering all that money by sucking people financially dry to support empty or nearly empty buildings…..interesting topic that needs looking into.
All the luxury items certain people can attain while others are living and eating like paupers….oh, those tax books are going to give the IRS migraines for years to come.
One has to wonder IF….is ALL this 100% “legit” OR….. well, maybe, could be, I wonder……other books hidden away or figures juggled….maybe NOT, maybe SO….
When push comes to shove & all the nasty shit hits the fan, it WILL be every man for him or herself….NONE of “his lawyers” are going to risk Prison or Perjury or the loss of their Law License or dismissal from the Bar Association to protect…..WHO? WHAT???….
WILL “they” want to “swing alone in the wind and take the blame for everything”….OR….. will they put HIIM up on the gallows platform & pull the rope that will drop him thru that little door to HANG ALONE!
Wow….if I was casual nobody – which I am – I would want to check it out!
Whoa! As an Old Surfer Dude, I’ve been casual my entire life! Formal for me is wearing jeans and a Hawaiian shirt. Guess I wasn’t born for formality…
As I commented last week, I think that the demographics cited for Birmingham, show why it may be the one long-stalled “ideal” renovation project that Misavige has targeted as the priority to finally get done – even if it requires having to use international funds to make up for the shortfall in what the locals have been able to raise, which appears to be a growing trend.
How the other orgs are going to go ideal, is to keep squeezing the locals for every last penny, while hoping that either a couple of “whales” come along, and waiting for their org to become a priority for funding from Miscavige in what is probably a decades-long build-out – and keeping their fingers crossed, that Scientology doesn’t fatally implode before either of those things happen.
And as for Columbus, presumably the demolition is being done with volunteer labor, which makes it the easy part.
Underlying a number of these pieces, seems to be the implication (and hope) that SuMP’s TV channel debut this summer will be the “next big thing” that finally gets the masses coming in the doors of the orgs. It will be very interesting to see both what Scientology actually does with the TV channel, and what the effects and fallout from it are.
Let me venture out on a limb here ………….
1) Dave will debut with some sensational lies that will get lapped up by the faithful.
2) The truth will come like an avalanche to the already traumatized cult …. likely the equivalent of a 12 ga. shotgun blast to the instep region of Dave’s foot.
3) The recoil will drive Dave further into the bottle of rationalized thinking and he will issue some drivel as an effective countermeasure.
4) SuMP will collapse onto itself following the example of the cherch in general.
Yo Dave,
Its a quarter to too here in beautiful California. Howz those stats lookin for ya. More of the same ole same ole straight down and vertical good buddy. We’re all smilin for ya Dave!
Wait….are these seriously campaigns to draw people in? Sock hops, pirate attire, magic shows and look at how we are changing the world? How to get an agent? They are trying to tap into the YouTube generation with 1950’s technology and ideas. Good luck with that. Let me know how it turns out for you Scientology. The millenials will skewer you.
The Gen Xers too!
@maria, no, they are not sent out to draw people in. The mailers are never supposed to see the light of day, only sent out to the hard core believers to collect mo money mo money. Most of them still in are all my age or so and according to my son, I’m so old I invented dirt, so you get the idea of the aging demographics of those still hanging on in scientology right now.
Straight down then horizontal, slitherin away in the tall grass..
I always look forward to Thursdays funnies, I love the piñata joke, are you allowed to say dozens?that should be changed to scores lol However when I see pictures of little children and teenagers it’s a crushing sadness. I was never in scientology and I think of the fun and journeys we were on,they were a handful,I was a single parent for several years but to loose your kids to the sea org and not have them sleeping under the same roof I’d loose my mind, kids need that parental love, hugs, kisses, encouragement .
I’m so happy for you Mike that you get to experience life the way it’s supposed to be with your beautiful wife and those adorable kids,I know the way you were raised you didn’t know any different I hope one day your older kids will get out of there and understand that. You have a great day Mike!
How deplorable and degrading to put the Class 6 OT VIII on the same billing. Shows what they really think.
I’m flabbergasted, Mike. Simply flabbergasted. (That means I’ve not a clue to what all these folks are yammering and cheering about.) Year after year, lie after lie, failure after failure, yet little to no actual results. Such a strange (as Ayn Rand put it) “blankout”! Failure to see, failure to observe, failure to even think in any logical way. And, almost daily, more and more disasters, dreadful PR, what has become a popular tv expose’, countless books…and on and on it goes. What a sad mess!
thegman77, some people can get so far down in their ability to observe and be in present time in a certain area that what they’re looking at is not what they’re looking at, and what they’re hearing is not what they’re hearing. In that area, they operate in a delusional state. And the following is just my opinion: I believe that this inability to observe can spread from one area in their lives to other areas. If a person is capable of lying and fooling himself in one area, he/she is capable of employing the same mechanism to operate in delusion as regards another area if/when expedient. Its not uncommon, in my experience, to see very delusional in one area and struggling, limping in another area due to an inability to observe the obvious. Sometimes the truth is just too painful so the person has to live in their delusions, which are their own self created traps. These people will always blame others for their condition. If, and/or when, something snaps them out of their delusion, their plight will always be the fault of others, never their own.
Great post. And, sadly, very true.
+1! Nice post!
Nice post Aquamarine. People get trapped in a mental state where they have to justify their own actions, which can lead to a state of delusion where they lie to themselves and even start believing their own lies.
It seems that when people believe lies, especially those of the “outrageous” variety, they usually believe them due to either hope or fear. They either hope that the lie they’re being told is true (such as clearing the planet of war, crime, and insanity), or they’re fearful that the lie they’re being told just might actually be true (such as the horrors of “Wog World” or losing their eternity).
Hope and fear…..two extremely powerful (and sometimes crippling) emotions. Some of these folks are so passionate that logic can’t possibly penetrate their mindset without some sort of external “jolt”. Passion will usually trump reason almost every single time. I believe that’s true for all of us…..Scientologist or not.
Mick, you said, “Hope and fear…two extemely powerful (and sometimes crippling) emotions.”
Making decisions based mostly on hope, or on fear without factoring in a dispassionate observation of the situation is a very risky and mostly stupid way to operate in life.
Indeed it is.
This is a great post. Unfortunately, it sums up my father exactly. He is still a Scientologist. He became OT 7 a few years back. Yet his ability to observe a lot of daily, real life situatuons is always obscured or he can’t see the obvious. Blows my mind sometimes.
Budafuco, was just talking to an ex Class 9 auditor about this very thing. Oh how fantabulous life is for a Scn believer…fabulous, perfect, certainly better than the rest of the unenlightened peons who inhabit earth. Yet, their life is crap. Crap. Nothing ever goes right. They never make that fortune they’ve imagined their superpowers enable them to make (all because of somebody else, of course). Unbelievable and strange, disconnected reality.
Yes, they are Bubble People. It is sad, and almost beyond belief. And funny, too, because they feel sorry for YOU. They have no clue how clueless they are.
Anybody notice in the Joburg Org flyer that all the statements end with question marks? Questioning their answers?. Also, the letters of attestation from Freewinds seem similar in phrasing and sentence/paragraph structure. Same Ghost writer?
Bravo on the piñata joke. Cinco de Moolah.

“Michael Roberts”.
Gah! Every time I see that name, I have to do a double-take (Michael’s my real name, Mick is just the nickname…..at least my middle initial isn’t D).
Nice one Mick! You are the new improved version of what a Michael Roberts should be. Perhaps it will give Mr. braindead something to look up to…………………..but he likely won’t see because he can’t look!
Back in the late nineties, MR showed up at my office with a regging entourage unannounced. He and the group were in my conference room when I returned from lunch and were so obviously proud of their accomplishment and confident of achieving their target dono that it was revolting.
So I let him carry on, smiling, telling me what a great and powerful being I was and how it was people like me that were getting the job done for (The Cult) and the others around the table were nodding and smiling…………went on for over an hour.
I was so pissed I finally got up, thanked him for the info and left the room. “I have work to do. Next time call ahead and make an appointment.”
MR…” Do you realize we have traveled over two hours to come here and brief you ……….”
Me: “Like I said, call ahead and make an appointment! And word clear the ‘manners’ bulletin.”
It felt good. But in the end the Cult got my family. That didn’t feel so good. But as they say somewhere,
The fat lady has not yet begun her final song!
Yo Dave,
‘singing the blues” comes to mind good buddy.
“The fat lady has not yet begun her final song.”
Indeed! Resist the cult! Way to go! Coop!
Sounds like an inconsiderate jerk with a smile on his face. So glad you got out. Hope you are able to reconnect with your family soon…..very soon….
Great post, Mick!
From my pov, you got all the answers exactly right.
And, are you sure you aren’t related? Same name and you think and look,so much alike. JK!
Speaking of lookalikes, is it just me, or does Gavin Potter of the NotFreewinds looking more and more like DM in every newly released picture?
I once heard that all folk with the Roberts surname are related (we originated from a family from Wales or something), so he very well could be a distantly related cousin of mine. We certainly don’t seem to think alike though, based on Newcomer’s story above, plus the fact that I don’t think I’d ever be able to be an IAS Freedom Medal winner after hanging out and chatting with all of you wogs and SP’s around here. 😉
And I do remember seeing some Gavin Potter images and thinking he looked eerily similar to Miscavige, almost like Potter was trying to emulate DM, like in a weird “Single White Female” sort of way.
😉 Bad Our SPness (sounds like spee-ness) is rubbing off on you!)
“In a weird Single White Female sort of way”
ROFLMAO!!!
Mick,
It’s funny because when I saw the name Michael Roberts, i first thought ” Isn’t that the guy that posts both here and in the “Bunker”? Then I saw the pic. LOL
Ha! Sorry for the confusion! 😉
My Bridge progress has always depended upon not ending a sentence with a preposition. 🙂
“What’s the single source of social suppression?”
Not enough port-a-potties at the Iowa State Fair.
Watching those kids holding up their little signs with the ‘star’ on them at the Norwood Mission was heartbreaking. Imagine what’s in store for them…
Speaking of little kids…when babies are born to Sea Org members they are sent to a Nursery. Right? Are their caregivers qualified in any way..I have heard horror stories of young kids caring for babies on a long term basis..
If true. This is dangerous and disgusting! !
Unfortunately, it’s true, Shirley.
That was in the olden, golden days Shirley. Nowadays, you don’t have babies…you have an abortion, paid for by Medicaid.
T-Marie, I assume you know that in “olden, golden days” the Sea Org nurseries and subsequent programs for kids, were almost inevitably horrendously run because they weren’t a priority, which is one of the reasons that the policy on having children was changed.
Medicaid doesn’t pay for abortions except in cases of rape or medical necessity, but Scientology is taking its staff to low-cost clinics subsidized by private donations intended to help poor women, in order to avoid incurring expenses in spite of their vast wealth. General health care for Scientology staff does get paid for by Medicaid and other taxpayer-funded programs, when they are taken to public clinics, or end up in the public health care and nursing home systems when they are “offloaded” after years of service during which they weren’t paid enough to end up being taxed their fair share for support of those programs.
Yes, PeaceMaker, I was being facetious about the olden, golden days. I didn’t know the specifics of how the abortions get paid for though. Unbelievable, when the slurch you work for is worth billions. And sad. Very sad. 🙁
What’s also sad is that the blonde lady in that picture is the Norwood Mission Holder and happens to be Lois’ sister. I believe that 2 of the children are her kids. This “lady” is the one that got my youngest, now disconnected, son Craig completely indoctrinated into SCN. Then after we spoke out on Leah and Mike’s show, she happily lied about Lois and I on the cult’s hate website.
I haven’t seen her in 4 years or so (disconnected) but one always must remember that she is “perfect” and those not up to her standards are horrible, evil SPs, which is the category she puts me and Lois into. I’d love to be as perfect as her but don’t feel like fighting those nasty BTs. I do believe though that a few good beers calms the little bastards down.
Clearlypissedoff, I guess it’s nice sitting up high on her snooty-tooty pedestal in the sky. Karma is a bitch. Karma is a total bitch.
Good idea Boston. A Sock Hop, because most of your public are old enough to remember what they were.
And here I thought a sock hop was jumping up and down in your socks.
LOL 😀
