Oh No Ross and Carrie
Love these two. The second installment is worth listening to, just like the first. Smart, funny people explaining their experiences being sucked into the scientology bubble, including attending the New Year’s event. It is humorous to get their take on how things come across to normal people that walk in the door. Listen here.
The IAS “Inglewood Edition”
Featuring the incomparable Jackson Wyan (whoever he is) rather than the full time IAS Reg Michael Roberts, one of the VERY few African Americans in scientology. So what makes the presentation from milquetoast Wyan so special for Inglewood?
“OT Hatting”
The only hatting you need on writing to become an OT is how to write and sign a check. 43 years a courtroom lawyer? Something fishy here…
First Ideal Continent isn’t saying much
Not going to be anytime soon judging from those rankings. I dont know why they still include the Mountain View Jugger Noughts? Don’t they have a building?
Fire It Up!
Things are really smoking on the Book-A-Thon in the UK – 2 reports, London sold 28 books and Birmingham 8. They are by far the biggest orgs in the UK. In the two biggest cities. 36 books? OMG.
Come this Saturday…
Location to be announced. Seriously? This is the vaunted admin tech at work?
Moneywinds
Learn to be prosperous from whoever this guy is…. because unless you are prosperous you are not getting to OT.
This is weird
An ex-brother-in-law of Tom Cruise and creepy ginger, Derek DeVette is redoing his Objectives in Pasadena “as a Solo NOTs auditor”? They are actually having people do Objectives in the middle of Solo NOTs??
Join us on Tuesday August 19th?
I wonder what year this is, as August 19th this year is a Friday… Come into present time LA Org. No sleep again?
Oh, the hype, the hype…
He personally created the biggest anti-drug movement in French history that reduced drug abuse by 20%. Must be the same guy that reduced drug crime by 80% in Colombia. And maybe he is also responsible for the 60X expansion in scientology? If this were true, he would be on the cover of Rolling Stone, not the IAS mag.
Find out what’s next?
You give more money. I know you have been dying to know that. And Celia Petro (Italian?) needs to do Key To Life to learn how to construct a sentence. Oh, sorry, they don’t do that any more.
Stars of the Valley
Hate to tell you guys, the only “stars” in the Valley are in the adult entertainment industry.
How do you like it?
Frankly Kerensa, I thought it sounded contrived and strange. She had a 30 year ruin that ONLY got addressed on her “eligibility” for OT VIII? What happened on OT VII? OT III? Clearing? the Grades? Dianetics? None of those things handled it but the sec check before starting OT VIII finally dealt with it after 30 years. Not too credible.
WISE
A completely separate organization from scientology. Except it’s not.
We are going to storm Puerto Rico
Because this is “LRH’s island.” WTF?
Flag OTC takes on Tampa CF
And of course, it’s going to be filmed to show at an event. They wouldn’t be bothered otherwise.
Moneywinds export
Apparently they think this is a successful action. The Moneywinds can’t make enough money to sail outside the harbor.
What does it take?
An “Air Lock” made out of paper apparently. Seems Mighty My Mammy has abandoned their 70’s secretarial pool quotes forever. But who knows, they could be back next week.
Thankful for the opportunity…
To give money. Amazing. And what’s with the Italians in Miami?
What does it take?
The willingness to go into deep personal debt. This in scientology is “courage.” Oh, and weird Star Wars hair…
Oh, and this is the same Italian again — they must be short of courageous individuals left in Mighty My Mammy.

Here are a few reviews from Amazon of Bob Twaalfhoven’s product.Bobcad CAM
80% 1 star ratings on amazon.com:t”these guys are crooks”or The CAD/CAM version of Obamacare”

Even worse than the ratings from John Mappin’s Hotel hell on TripAdvisor.
If it is not a scam it is not Scientology.

I’m convinced that the cult’s modus operendi as it continues steadily imploding and losing people and getting smaller and smaller and smaller is to at the same time continue to trumpet how well its doing, well its doing, well its doing…until one day…poof…its gone. But up until the final last hour, the PR will still be that everything is terrific.
Phil says
Yes. Very well said
Phil says
I believe that is “Standard Tech” … Yup
Kronomex says
And on a side note; I finally managed to complete my Laurel and Hardy collection about two weeks ago. It’s only taken about three years.
Robert Almblad says
Mike, these guys have no shame in their flat out lies:
“IAS Freedom Metal Winner Robert Galibert”…. “personally created the biggest anti-drug movement in French history, ultimat (sic) creating a 20% drop in youth drug abuse.”
They advertise this bullshit to sheeple that apparently can’t Google.
With one simple Google search, you get these current official French government report headlines:
“Alarming rise in drug use among French teens”
“Fresh figures from the French Observatory for Drugs and Addiction (OFDT) show that soft drug and alcohol use are on the rise among the nation’s teenagers – particularly the females.”

L. D. Sledge – three self published books, a blog site that hasn’t been updated since 2013, a non-existent web site and seems proud that he worked with, and when I read the name I got the distinct feeling that Sledge is another Scamology shill, Patrick Valtin.
Book-A-Thon: What heck is a “special commend and caper”? What an incentive to sell, sell, sell.
Greg Deering: from his cheap and nasty Scamology website – “I got into Scientology because I really am a spiritual being and I wanted to be free and with Scientology I could be free!” Need I say any more?
Smoore says
Do one thing at a time. Start, change, stop. Take walks. People watch. Wow!! Truly revolutionary!!! Thanks, Ross and Carrie!
Friend says
The tech works always .. if not, you are blamed for your case .. especially PTS .. or for not willing to confront reality .. it is force to see something which is not there for you .. force has a liability, because you will go then in trouble with freedom ..
28 books in London .. oh my dear .. bad sign at all .. everybody should read the book .. it is not a problem to read it .. but 80% of all people which I gave the book did never read it or throw it in the waste .. interestingly because it is worth to read the book ..
Espiando says
It’s only worth “reading the book” if you want a first-hand portrait of clinical insanity. I’ve read both Dianetics and Mein Kampf, so I know of what I speak.
Scott Henderson says
Great analogy Espiando
Graham says
London has a population of 8.6 million people. Scientology has a flag-ship building in the business district just minutes from St Pauls Cathedral and a Dianetics Centre on (admittedly the wrong end of) one of London’s busiest commercial streets. And they sold 28 books?!
How big a ‘fail’ do they have to be part of before the penny drops and they realise this is hopeless? This so-called ‘church’ has had a presence in London for over sixty years and has achieved virtually zero penetration. A major push for book sales resulting in 28 sales proves only one thing: the Tech doesn’t work and if it isn’t working after sixty years it never will. How wilfully blind do you have to be to fail to see that?
This is beyond pathetic and well on the way to deeply sad.
SadStateofAffairs says
Yes 60 years have proved that Scientology does not work. By that I mean, while there are specific pieces of the philosophy and technology that can be useful and helpful if applied benignly, the entire Scientology subject as a philosophical system of technology, administration and ethic, has proven conclusively that it does not work. The common reasons given within the systems for it not working are: external and internal attacks from SPs; it doesn’t work because “you” are not applying it exactly; and “you” are out-ethics. Well, the system is supposed to have workable internal policing and policy to deal with “SPs” and out-ethics, but in 60 years that has not worked, as evidenced by current state of affairs. If in 60 years “millions” of people have studied and given their best shot to apply it exactly, then either no one has ever been able to do that, which means it is not a practical workable system, or people have been able to do that, but still the Church is a failure. And it’s internal policing systems certainly have not worked to get everything else working right either. The proof is in the pudding and the pudding is that mess the Church now is. 60 years was plenty of time to prove the system and subject work like the claim they can, but the result is missing.
Mike Rinder says
Perfect summation. Comment of the week.
Chee Chalker says
It works for Tom Cruise….oh wait, maybe you need to be a Big Being in order for it to work.
I wonder if he thinks he can read minds and fly.
McCarran says
Yea. That’s why his (family) life has worked out so well.
Robert Almblad says
And it didn’t work for LRH either, who died at an early age (75) and by all reports, was quite miserable at the end.
Robert Almblad says
Sorry, LRH was actually 74 when he died. Close to many of the aging population of Scientology sheeple…
Mike Wynski says
Irrefutable logic SadState! Oddly I just heard that the few Indies left standing are trying to start an “Independent Church of Scamology” and per what I read, they REALLY believe that by doing that will make the “tek” work (for the first time). Wild stuff.
Ann B Watson says
Hi Mike, Sent my comment but something prevented it from going through.Try again. Thank you for another triple home run of Thursday Funnies. My favorite part was the success story where the lady who wrote about her thanks to Ron for his love and compassion for her and all humanity. These stories make me gag! Ron has been mighty busy the past thirty years on target2 or3, doing all Himself to save the planet.Dm goes thru the motions and always checks all his accounts daily.Money money makes his Sci. World spin round.Love,Ann

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
30 year old ruins and 40 year old problems are now being handled on the Freewinds with eligibility once you scale up to OT VIII (after forking over somewhere between 250K – 500K).
How astonishingly spectacular. CG should tell the whole world about it so everyone on earth can share her wins.
John P. Capitalist says
Just a data point on L. D. Sledge. A million words in print sounds impressive until you realize that it’s basically 6 books of fiction… apparently all those years in Scientology gives Mr. Sledge the same ability to exaggerate with numbers that David Miscavige uses (turn one overpriced building whose construction ran a decade over schedule into millions of feet of electrical wiring, for instance).
If you look carefully, all of Sledge’s books are self-published, which is something that anybody can do. String a bunch of words together, edited or not, pay a few bucks, post it to Amazon, and voila, you’re a published author with a million words in print. No risk of rejection from agents and publishers — 100% success rate in making every word that spews forth into your word processor available to the world. In other words, you don’t have to be any good to self-publish. You just need a credit card and an Amazon account.
Newcomer says
” David Miscavige uses (turn one overpriced building whose construction ran a decade over schedule into millions of feet of electrical wiring, for instance).”
Right on John P. And 99% of that wiring was for surveillance cameras in auditing rooms so what you say can and will be used against you ………. if ……………….you are even thinking about harboring a negative thought regarding your favorite Cult.
Cindy says
Good point, John P Capitalist. And LD Sledge was hawking kitchen gadgets from his web site, maybe even still is. And he was always renting out a room or two in his house and looking for renters for money. If he is so successful, why the need to sell kitchen gadgets, a cookbook he wrote, and rent out rooms?
BKmole says
It’s clear that the alligator is eating it’s tail as it self destructs. The level of marketing and the activities that are being promoted tell a tail of how much energy is expended on useless and wasteful projects and bridge actions. It’s not the blind leading the blind any more, it’s the insane leading the insane.
Old Surfer Dude says
BK, I was insane when I was in and became sane when I left. It was as simple as that. So, the simple solution is to never join the Cult of Scientology. Simple, yes?
Doug Sprinkle says
OSD did your surfing skills increase 47X while you were in?
Old Surfer Dude says
Doug, my surfing skills increased 60x! I now exteriorize and head into space to surf waves of pure energy.
Old Surfer Dude says
No Doug. My surfing skills actually declined when I was in. They didn’t think my surfing contributed to the group, as I was the only one who surfed. Now, when I got OUT, my surfing skills increased 60x! I now exteriorize from my body and head into outer space to surf waves of pure energy. I think I can see Target 2 from my favorite surf spot in space….
Doug Sprinkle says
So no need for the surfboard then?
Old Surfer Dude says
Astral surfboard. I can mock up any type of astral surfboard I want.
Ann B Watson says
HinOSD, You have got me thinking to-night, how about surfing sound waves along with the astral ones and then you could surf the Ocean of Laser Waves which will zap that Front Porch of Infinity into a nice Black Hole.xo Ann.
Scott Henderson says
OSD I’d pay real money to see some astral beach blanket bunnies….(I’ll get my hat…)

Feel free to snake Hubbard being that the church claims he was one of the first surfers in California when he lived in Encinitas. For some reason I think they are not being truthful.
Old Surfer Dude says
That pasty face flesh pot??? Ninty-five percent of what’s he THINKS he’s done, are lies. This man wouldn’t know the truth if it kicked him in the…….But for me, THIS IS PERSONAL. Claiming he was one of the first surfers in California, is like fatso claiming he was a war hero. He was a Physicist. He had degrees in both mathematics and civil engineering. He had a Ph.D (from Sequoia University – degree mill). He was only married twice.
BUT, space cowboy, YOU DID NOT DEFILE OUR WONDER PACIFIC! Can you imagine Hubbard running on the sand. It would have terrified women and children…
Ann B Watson says
Hi OSD, Your post made this evening! What a picture! xo Ann.
HellOSA says
I know. It was one of the things that made my Bull Shit meter start going off. It was ok for Hubbard to do all these things but the rest of us? No, get your ass back in the academy and save the world or give us all your $ so the ia$ can save the world! Um yea.
I’m free and two more family members on the way to waking up.
Life is good.
Ann B Watson says
Hi HellOSA, I saw your post with OSD hi infinity surfer! and I wanted to send you love and hope and joy that those you love may wake up from the cult.I have read your posts since last year and I admire you.xo Ann.

LOL. I see what you did there. 🙂
A Scientologist walking into an org is not a normal person…?! 😛
I Yawnalot says
What’s always observable in their promo is what isn’t there – people. Couple of people here, a few there, same old faces, an Org shot with 15-20 or a disaster VM shot with half a dozen or so. Where’s all this massive expansion?
Have they ascended, gone to target two or maybe helping miscavige count his money. I know, they’re in central files… silly me.
Old Surfer Dude says
Of course they’re in Central Files, I Yawn! That’s where you find the best scientologists! Sure, most have probably passed away, but, as long as you put in the time, say, 20 years or so, you’ll get someone to try it again.
ForLease says
“The Pasadena execs are all veteran OT’s who service me instantly when asked.”

Old Surfer Dude says
Yeah……you’ll get “serviced” alright…..

Gimpy says
Why is it that when someone else gives a description of something like Courage you quickly know what they are talking about? Yet when l ron gives his gobbledygook description you have to go away do demos, word clear and even ‘clay demo’ it for it to make any sense, and even then its still crap dressed up to sound clever.
Tampa CF is apparently ‘fun’, from this it quickly becomes apparent these people don’t get out much.
deElizabethan says
Regarding Tampa clearing files. They say they had fun last time, so let’s do it again….And again, again, again… Endless cycle!

Tito, what has COB done for you? Whenever I see that comment “show COB we are behind him and everything he does for us” I think – Sucker! And I’m pretty sure COB does too.
I Yawnalot says
Handy little process there. What’s COB done for you? What have you done for COB?
Pretty much say with some accuracy everyone here EP’d that some time ago.
It’s the, What are others doing for COB that needs to be terminated, but good!
Basta Ya!!! says
Tito pretends to be a friend of the Puerto Rican people but the only reason he associates with us is to help the people from the Sea Org ,along Tiffany Woods (the Sea Org woman who appears in the WHAT DOES TAKE? flyer) give their money to the Ideal Org building. The building will cost about 3 million dollars but we have only donated 2 million. The people here are hoping that the church will give the rest because it has taken many years to get only 2 million. They are not told that if they finally get the building then they will have to pay millions of dollars to prepare it like an Ideal Org. Tito has recommended to our people that they borrow money to give to the Ideal Org. He tries to make it sound like it is very easy and that we will become prosperous by some magic if we just give the church our money. It reminds me of other small private religions who take your money in exchange for “God will provide.”
The people here have no more money. They do not trust the Sea Org and have lost trust in the local opinion leaders who have sold their souls to this church. They won’t tell this to the Scientology people but they tell each other but are afraid to speak out. Scientology in Puerto Rico has become a game of pretend. There have been too many lies spoken from the people of this church. This church never realized that we had already given them our most valuable treasure. Our Trust. They decided that money was more valuable to them. History will place Mr. Miscavige as a person lusting for power. A person guided by greed.
His own family has abandoned him in shame.
I hope that people like Tito and Tiffany behave the way they do because of ignorance and stupidity. It would be sad to know that they know they are harming others in exchange for false promises.
Espiando says
I’m certain Twatwaffle is doing it out of ignorance and stupidity. He’s forked over bunches of cash for any number of Idle Morgues. He’s become the prototypical whale, even more so than Duggan. Tiffany Woods, though…people here have said things about her, enough to convince me that she’s Little Miss Malice Aforethought. She’s evil.
Basta Ya!!! says
Let us hope they both change their ways.
Gracias, Espiando

I CURSE YOU WITH IMPOTENCE FOR TWENTY YEARS.
– Ayn Rand to Nathaniel Branden
GIMME GIMME GIMME
– Ayn Rand to Social Security
Leslie Bates says
Perfection is a concept. The relationship with Branden was clearly a mistake. And everyone pays into Social Security so on what grounds is it forbidden to seek any amount of remuneration for it?
Mike Wynski says
No, not everyone who pulls from the Social Security fund pays into it, even today. It was set up to pay out retirement funds to people who never paid into it. That’s why you had people who were from the 19th century (and retired) who got retirement but never paid into it.
Cindy says
The ones who didn’t pay into Social Security can get it if they pay some money after the fact. Same for getting Medicare; you may have to pay for it or part of it if you didn’t qualify for it by paying into the system.
rivercs says
Even if you qualify for Medicare because of age, have paid Medicare taxes all your working life, and in other ways done everything right, you will still get charged about $150/month (or more, depending on your current income) as your Medicare premium. That’s for traditional Medicare. Any sort of “Medicare advantage” program you’re on can charge you premiums per month that significantly exceed what traditional Medicare charges.
