If you’re always whining about being persecuted and victimized (which you were), Hubbard, you don’t get to be scornful about actual victims. And according to modern-day Scientology, they’re the biggest victims on Teegeeack.
This HCOB about Christians succeeding via victimhood is interesting and rife with irony. Scientology constantly plays the victim when criticized. Continually whining and moaning. Waaah… hate speech… waaahh…religious discrimination…oh, its so unfair… V
Victimization (along with outright dishonest denial) comprise the totality of their responses to any criticisms. They NEVER address the points – never. Obviously because they can’t. And so they have only outright denials which are lies, liberally pepper with : they’re so mean, they hate us, waaah, waaah, waaah”.
In a way though , Aqua, Scientology is kinda proving LRH right , as it plunges down the Tone Scale towards death … ok, maybe it’s chronic tone is even lower …
My thoughts exactly. Where is Scientology the organization on Hubbard’s Tone Scale?
Definitely below Body Death, that’s for sure! I’d say “social tone” would be Covert Hostility (pretend help, pretend caring, lying about Fair Game, lying about Disconnection, fake promises about huge spiritual gains as a result of large donations) but the actual tone is WAY down there. In fact it amuses me to consider Scientology as an organization at “Being Other Bodies” because of the empty Ideal Morgues (refusing to be itself, denial of its actual beingness) but then its very possible that (along with Miscavige) the organization is actually in “Hiding”. Strong evidence exists for this, and not only due to the Dwarf’s ducking subpoenas.
Well said. Sadly, the victim story of Christianity, and mankind in general, often takes the spotlight away from the bigger story. The path to redemption.
Thanks, and yes, that’s always the case, because fluid though helpful spiritual philosophies get crystalized into rigid rites and rituals which must be obeyed – or else (name your dire consequence). Men create religions out of philosophies, and with religion the individual’s freedom of thought goes out the window.
Mike, have you looked into simulcasting your YouTube channel as a podcast? I’m thinking of the way Chris Shelton and Jon Atack do it: all their videos show up (audio-only, of course) in my podcast app’s feed. That would be nice for those who want to download stuff to listen to later, whilst driving or jogging or cooking or whatever.

COB bravely ran away.
When Mike and Leah showed their heads, COB turned his tail and fled.
(I’m being Pythonic along with Joking and Degrading.)
Mary Kahn says
COB sounds like a Victim.

You forgot, paraphrased:
“Sir Miscreant, who had personally wet himself when the subpoenas started appearing.”

I kept it as short as I thought was possible. I forgot to say that COB bravely ran away on the second line.
